Named after one of the oldest oak-lined squares dotting downtown Savannah, Telfair is Sugar Land's newest 2,018 acre master-planned community located on U.S. 59 South, with the main entrance at University Blvd., just south of State Highway 6. Telfair is planned as a tapestry of landscaped neighborhood squares, offering residents places to gather amid shady live oaks and fragrant magnolias. Splashing fountains, vine-covered walls and wrought iron flourishes will echo the Savannah theme. The Telfair master plan devotes 300 acres to recreational amenities, including an approximately 70-acre lake and park system that will wind throughout the community, along with a proposed City of Sugar Land regional park that will also be approximately 70 acres.
