Take the garbage out

A garbage disposer is one of the most important tools in the kitchen. It gets rid of everything from orange peels to egg shells in a matter of seconds. You may not know this, but there are two types of garbage disposers: continuous feed and batch feed. A continuous feed disposer is the most common and easiest to use because you just drop in waste as it runs. For safety reasons, the batch feed disposer requires that a food cover be in place before starting.

Here are some things to consider when buying a garbage disposer:

  • Horsepower
  • Auto-reverse mode (to clear jams)
  • Noise level
  • Warranty

Choosing the right model of disposer depends on how you'll use it. With the wide variety of motor sizes and chamber capacities, you're sure to find the right disposer to fit your needs.
