Clarksburg is an up and coming community that is being developed into a quaint town complete with single family homes, a pedestrian friendly town center that will remind you of European small towns, as well as plenty of green spaces to hang out in. As the population of this census-designated place grows, so does the diversity of the population. Clarksburg has a history that began in the 1750s and the town unfortunately dwindled due to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad construction, but Montgomery County and some innovative homebuilders in the area are reshaping it to its former glory.
Getting some fresh air is easy when you live in Clarksburg because just within the Town Center you can find over 15,000 feet of shaded nature trails to hike and bike in as well as plenty of pocket parks to just lay a blanket down and relax. Piedmont Park is also a great place for weekend picnics with the family and the family dog is always welcome to play here too! However, Little Bennett Regional Park is the prize park of the county, with over 20 miles of trails, campgrounds and even some historical sites to visit. If you can't think of what to do on a certain day, just call up the Town Center Activities Director and I'm sure he'll have a couple of planned activities that you could join in on.
Looking for some healthy meals to go with your active lifestyle? The Farmer's Market at the Town Center will be a fantastic place to buy fresh produce and meat where you'll also be able to chat with the local farmers and vendors to understand what makes their farm fresh products so great. The grocery store is still under construction in Clarksburg, so while you're waiting, take a quick drive over to Germantown where you can find several grocery stores to pick up the family meals. Perhaps you're tired of slaving over the stove; indulge in a night out at Sabai Sabai Simply Thai for some spicy and fresh cuisine.
