The English were first attracted to West Chester for its beauty and abundance of land. Now centuries later that is still what charms them in. West Chester is filled with woods and parks. Beckett Park is one of the largest in this township. It is filled with wondrous trails, twisting and curving through woods. There is a renovated wooden barn, a striking baseball facility, and a picturesque pond for catch and release, and a day outside with the kids! Another one is Keehner Park. With a steadfast creek running through it, it makes for a perfect nature hike along the ridge filled with incredible wildflowers. Not to mention it has an amphitheater in front of the majestic woodlands creating a spectacular sight. Here the afternoons are filled with music, during performances which are always free to the public, and provide seating on the grass for the entire family.
West Chester prides itself on its extensive education pathways. Lakota, the local school district used by the town, is a top-10 largest school district in the state. West Chester offer 6 secondary means of education, including a University of Phoenix branch, opening corridors to innovative degrees. Oh, and you can't forget their very own West Chester university. They offer informative programs to inspire communication between the township and its residents like, emergency preparedness, CPR or First Aid.
This is an active town, constantly encouraging its community to be involved. Some get involved in sports leagues of all sorts, hockey, baseball, soccer, football. While some get involved in community service like Habitat for humanity, or attending and volunteering at the local farmers' market that is open the summer months until October (don't worry about the heat though, the weather stays about 75 throughout the summer)!
For those of you looking for job outside of West Chester, and that don't mind a commute, Cincinnati is a mere 30-minute drive south. In this booming city there is entertainment for all. Between the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals you're almost always sure to find a game, and the shopping is noteworthy, consisting of multiple malls, outlets, and some quaint local retail shops. In the afternoon you can go for fine dining, or take a stroll through the soon to be finish Ohio River Trail, which expands over 20 miles, as you watch the sun set.
Before you leave the township make sure you embrace all West Chester has to offer. They just recently opened "The Streets of West Chester", it is a classy new mall filled with shops, fine dining, chain restaurants, like Panera Bread and PF Changs, and a clean new movie theater! And if that wasn't enough the mall hosts different events like Winter Ice Sculptures and Car Shows.
Township doesn't seem to give West Chester justice! There is a lot more to it than abundance of land now. The roads are filled with friendly faces, and delicious diners. So give West Chester a chance, you won't regret it, and New Home Source is the place that will make finding a new home as simple as possible!
