The first aspect of Chandler you're probably already familiar with: it's the mini economic powerhouse of the Phoenix area. Named an All-America City in 2010 for its efforts at maintaining a steady stream of opportunities for its resident, and also referred to as the "High-Tech Oasis of the Silicon Desert," the future of this quiet community is assured. Famously home to offices of the Intel Corporation, Chandler has also welcomed Freescale, Avnet, Amkor Microchip Technology, Orbital Sciences, and Marvell Technologies. Covance, a leader in the biotech industry, also keeps a foot on the Chandler ground. With Arizona State University not far away--the Chandler location seems to be key for attracting top new talent--such as maybe, someone like yourself. If you do find a job here, you'll be in good company. This is a high-income area, with successful people in industries from tech to health care. Soon the accomplished residents of Chandler will be your new neighbors.
As hard as Chandler works, it plays just as hard too, and it plays well, with several venues for the arts. The main venue is the Chandler Center for the Arts, where you'll return time and again to enjoy the free Summer Concert Series. You may also want to take a look at the Chandler Museum, where you can learn more about your new home.
If you're a baseball fan, you're already familiar with much of the Phoenix area as the off-season home for MLB teams in training. Chandler is a part of the action too, as a convenient jumping-off place for many of the events of the so-called "Cactus League." You'll always know when it's that time of year, because the Anaheim Angels, the Chicago Cubs, and the San Francisco Giants, will descend upon the city and the air will be filled with rumors about the baseball season. It seems that not even the greats of baseball can resist the Arizona sunshine!
Arizonians just love to get outdoors, and Chandler is no slouch in the outdoor-recreation department. Play a few--or many--rounds at the Jack Nicklaus-designed course at Bear Creek. It will be hard to miss the Tumbleweed Park, which includes the Tennis Center and 15 state-of-the-art lighted courts. But Chandler boasts numerous parks, with all kinds of specialties, including "kid-sized" parks and a skate park. Your little ones will love discovering "Playtopia," a section of Tumbleweed Park that's just for them: slides, swings, benches, and Gila Monsters and all. Yes, you read that right: one of the interactive features of this park is formed after the image of a giant gila monster. This imaginative and unconventional play park will soon become a favorite destination among the youngest members of your household-- and it's a great place to meet other area parents as well.
If you love small-town living, Chandler is big enough to afford those great economic opportunities, but feels like a small town too. With a downtown area on the National Register of Historic Places, it's easy to walk around the block and feel like you've stepped into 1965. Dr. Alexander Chandler, who believed in the "City Beautiful" movement, carefully designed his namesake city to meet certain criteria: it had to be easy to get around (which Chandler fulfills with grid-like streets), and it had to incorporate as much nature as possible into everyday life (which is where all those Chandler parks come from). Residents enjoy living in a place where the aesthetics are as carefully-considered as the range of amenities.
In a place with an annual Ostrich Festival, you'll never be bored. Let New Home Source introduce you your new home in the small town hundreds of thousands of residents already love.
