Parks at Walter Reed/TH

The Parks at Walter Reed is a burgeoning, thriving community that challenges the norms of everyday life. The 66-acre renovation of the former Walter Reed Army Medical Center redefines city living while putting the great outdoors within close reach of residents. When fully developed, The Parks will encompass 3.1 million square feet of mixed-use development, which will comprise adaptive reuse of existing historic structures, new construction, and more than 20 acres of open space, among other features.

It minimizes the environmental impact of development, the Park's reconstruction plan is based on a foundation of environmental sustainability, including techniques for energy and water conservation, alternate modes of transportation, and recycled and locally sourced building materials.

In addition to retail space, 325,000 square feet of business, medical, and educational space, 20,000 square feet of creative-and-cultural space, and a hotel/conference centre are planned for The Parks.
