With families in-mind, Bruce and Rana Schafer formed Schafer Construction of Gainesville in 1997. Bruce started his career as a carpenter after graduating from high school in North Dakota. After spending six years in the Navy, Bruce graduated top of his class in Civil Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. In 1988, he moved to Gainesville to pursue his masterÆs degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Florida. He built his experience by working as a project manager on everything from offshore oil platforms in the Gulf to buildings on the University of Florida campus. Over the years, Bruce Schafer has compiled an impressive resume of construction and management experience. Bruce Schafer and the Schafer Construction team are uniquely qualified to build your home.
