New Home Communities in Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point

Residents of the Piedmont Triad (Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem) are lucky to live in these beautiful towns. Though they may lack the glitter of neighboring Charlotte, or the "state capital" status of Raleigh, the towns of Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem offer residents the best possible combination of great arts scenes and attractions, a low cost of living, and plentiful opportunity.

Although most areas of the Triad have stories to tell, Greensboro has a particularly significant role in history. Better start your exploration of that role at the International Civil Rights Center and Museum, which will help you understand Greensboro's contributions to the 1960s civil rights movement. Afterwards you may want to visit the campus of NC AT&T State University, where four students began the "sit-in" part of the civil rights movement at a downtown lunch counter in 1960.

Greensboro also has an artistic bent. This is the home of the Carolina Theatre, which hosts, among other venues, the Greensboro Ballet's annual production of The Nutcracker. It's easy to find artistic inspiration in the beautiful natural environment that surrounds Greensboro. If a drive to the countryside seems too far, a few enterprising men and women brought the great outdoors into the city. The Tanger Family created the Bicentennial Gardens, and located them near the gardens of the Rachel and David Caldwell Historical Center. The result is a profusion of color and scent in the form of seven gardens. Perhaps the best-known is the Garden of Fragrance. The Bog Garden, Greensboro Arboretum, and the NC Zoo, also bring the natural world to your front door.

Winston-Salem is North Carolina's festival city, home to over a dozen festivals, which means your social calendar will be packed the whole year long. Six Days in November, one of the city's biggest festivals, is a visual feast, and a chance for young North Carolina artists to display their work. This festival concludes with another, the Piedmont Craftsmen's Fair, where more practical, but no less beautiful, work is in the spotlight. The area also got bitten by the acting bug, it seems. Winston-Salem hosts the RiverRun International Film Festival, and the National Black Theatre Festival. If a few hours in a theatre or an art gallery seems too much for younger children, and you're in need of more kid-friendly entertainment, the Winston-Salem Air Show will fit the bill.

So there's plenty to do on the weekends. However, when you're furnishing your new home (or just your closet), a festival or a museum won't help you. Fortunately, there's plenty of shopping right here in Greensboro at the Friendly Center, anchored by Macy's, Belk, Sears, the Apple Store, and Old Navy. You can fill up after a long day of hitting the sales rack at the mall's on-site restaurant, Romano's Macaroni Grill. For a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, you won't have to look further than the Triad either. High Point is of course home of the High Point Market, the world's most influential furniture trade show. It is at the epicenter of what's new in design, so you can guarantee whatever you take home from the market will impress your friends and family.

Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point will more than reward you for making the move. They're all beautiful cities, where you can build a comfortable life for you and your family. Let us help you get started in a modular home luxury home single family home or condo in the Triad.
