Dungannon and Clinch River Scenic Road Tour is a 24-miles long scenic road perfect for avid bikers. Guest River Gorge Trail is a picturesque hiking trail along State Scenic River. If you are more of a golf buff, though, head straight to Scott County Park & Golf Course, one of the prettiest courses in Southwest Virginia. Moreover, Jefferson National Forest offers hunting opportunities for those who are striving for a quality trophy buck.

 

This area has seen considerable economic development, with its industrial base in Duffield Regional Industrial Park and new developments in the Scott County Regional Business and Technical Park. Young ones can attend quality schools in the area and head to nearby urban centers for good higher education – Johnson City, for example, is home to the excellent East Tennessee State University and well-known ETSU's Quillen College of Medicine.
