Get your supplies at Virginia’s oldest and largest canoe and kayak specialty stores, the Appomattox River Company, and take a ride down the Appomattox River, which crosses through the town. Don’t forget to visit the High Bridge Trail State Park, a more than 30-mile-long rail trail-park which is ideal for biking, hiking and horseback riding. For a day of golfing, come enjoy the championship golf course which is surrounded by the rolling hills of south-central Virginia.
