What does the typical Austin home shopper look like? We’ve got the scoop. 

Long-time home shoppers with a penchant for well-constructed houses, the majority of Austin home buyers spend nearly a year searching for the home of their dreams. While 30 percent of Austinites prefer newly built homes to used homes, as many as 70 percent of Austinites have some degree of interest in buying new. Chasing favorable interest rates while combatting sky-rocketing rents in this growing city, the typical Austin homeowner will stay in their home for 13 years.
