Carrington Place is one of Normans finest and most desirable communities. Located in Northwest Norman, Carrington Place is just minutes away from I-35, major shopping areas, dining and entertainment. Residents enjoy two exclusive community pools, a 2,400 square foot clubhouse, three playgrounds and six ponds with sidewalks surrounding them. Carrington Place also features a variety of spacious floor designs with the latest energy efficient technology and eye-catching craftsmanship that you are looking for. Ranked by CNNs Money Magazine as the sixth best small city within the United States in which to live, Norman is run by a city-manager government in order to offer the quick response and local understanding a thriving community needs to grow. Home to many scientific ventures, Norman also boosts its economy as a Fair Trade town. One out of only 17 Fair Trade towns in the country, this means that the city supports the purchasing of goods from the local community itself. When goods cannot be purchased locally, the city will then support buying from producers abroad who meet Fair Trade standards. Norman also enjoys many arts and culture events sponsored by the in-town university, including music centers, theaters, and one of the largest French Impressionist painting collections in the United States. The Museum of Natural History has one of the largest and most important Paleozoic exhibits in existence. The university also sponsors many collegiate sporting events, including its well known football program. Visitors pour in and boost the local economy on sports games, and come to visit the weekend concert series like the Norman Musical Festival.
