To get to downtown Seattle from Kitsap County, take a 30-minute boat ride across Puget Sound. Commuters may enjoy a cappuccino, WIFI, and beautiful views of the Seattle skyline on their way to work rather than spending time in a car during rush hour.

The Federal Government employs the most people in Bremerton, thanks to Naval Base Kitsap, which includes the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton Naval Station, Bangor Submarine Base, and the home port of the USS Nimitz, the Navy's largest active aircraft carrier. Silverdale, like Bremerton, is a coastal city approximately 10 minutes north. Silverdale is home to Kitsap County's only mall and the Harrison Hospital and Medical Center, which covers a three-county area. Both cities boast small-town charm and good outdoor activity, with vistas of Puget Sound, the Cascade Mountains, and Mt. Rainier.
