Shane Paterson, the founder of Amity Homes, founded the company after working as a project manager for other builders for over two decades. People know and trust Shane, so he has always sought out guidance from friends and family members who were building their own homes. They build each home as though it were their own. They have developed their entire philosophy, method, and operating procedures from the ground up by knowing what would homeowners do if they were doing the construction themselves. That is how Amity Homes build houses. It is not unusual to see them on the job site late at night or early in the morning, as they regularly and tirelessly check to ensure that all is done correctly and you will often see them with a broom or shop-vac sweeping up your job site particularly in the places no one notices. Since they were always out there educating themselves, almost every sub and supplier in Utah knows who they are. Things move quickly. Products evolve at a rapid pace. It takes time to investigate and keep current on the best options. But because that is how you would do it if you were building your own house, that is how they do it when they build for you.
