Building a home is about respecting the emotional and financial significance of the home buyer´s experience of going through the building process. This philosophy was instilled in Jon Shafran while working on large development projects as a Project Manager under the guidance of two of Hudson Valley's most respected homebuilders - Rubin Shafran, his father, and Robert Hankin. Jon created JK Development Corp. in 1990 and has carried on these ideas in his own companies' successful ventures.

Some of the amazing accolades of JK Development Corp. is that they have built over 150 single family homes in Orange County, New York, they were the Past President of the Hudson Valley Builders and Remodelers Association, on the current Board of Directors member of the Hudson Valley Builders and Remodelers Association, partner in the development of Chapel Hill Estates, a 70 unit townhouse complex, in Westchester County, New York and were the former President of the Builders Association of the Hudson Valley.

Jon and his wife/business partner, Karen, live in Orange County and take pride in their family business. They have respect for the quality of life in the Hudson Valley and strive to contribute to the beauty and to perpetuate the charm of this region.
