Oliver Construction, Inc. is a family owned and operated business in Berkley, MI. It started out with Jim Oliver buying and renovating houses in the 1970’s to use as rental properties. He enjoyed doing this a lot and the small renovations quickly turned into large remodels. Soon enough, Jim was able to build a new house from scratch with the help of a friend and his son, Dave Oliver. Unfortunately, one of their rental properties burned down not too long after they built their first home. They then ventured into a partnership with their restoration contractor. In the end, it turned out to be a happy accident because the Oliver family has not looked back since then. By 1996, the company was already a full-fledged custom home builder. They have built over 150 homes in Oakland County and they plan to continue building more. Currently, all three generations of the Oliver family are focused on the new construction in the Berkley area. The company’s most popular floor plan includes four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. It ranges from 2,150 to 2,450 sq ft. Additional floor plans are available for larger lots that can accommodate a front load garage.
