Living in King, NC
King is a small rural town located in two North Carolina counties, Stokes and Forsyth. It is a part of an area of North Carolina known as the Piedmont Triad metropolitan area. Being a small rural town, there isn’t a lot of action in King, known as the gateway to the foothills. However, it is located just 15 miles northwest of the vibrant, historic city of Winston-Salem.

For those who love the great outdoors, King is the place to be. The town features two large parks, Recreation Acres and Central Park, and isn’t far from Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain State Parks, which offer many hiking trails and other outdoor recreation opportunities. Founded as a train depot in 1888, the town is known for its strong sense of community and civic pride.
