Living in Carolina Beach, NC

Carolina Beach is a bustling, family-friendly beach town with fantastic hotels, restaurants, nightlife, and, of course, stunning beaches. Freeman Park, located on the North End of Carolina Beach, is one of the few sites along the North Carolina coast where people may drive out onto the beach, camp, and have open fires.

There are stretches of shoreline where automobiles are not permitted. If you want to do some exploring, head to Carolina Beach State Park, which is about a mile from the Snows Cut Bridge's foot. Miles of hiking paths, camping and picnic areas, kayak rentals along the Cape Fear River, and a boat launch are all available. Make a point of stopping by the welcome center for a map and advice from the personnel.
