Irvine Park Estates

Irvine Park Estates is a community in the Irvine Park neighborhood which is nestled in a quiet, historic district just west of downtown St. Paul, MN. The area was first created by Henry Rice and John Irvine in 1849, gaining official park status in 1872. In 1881 a beautiful three-tiered fountain was added but a century later most of the area homes were deemed uninhabitable and the park was seen as a rusted waste of space.

In 1978 the area underwent a major redevelopment and revitalization campaign, rebuilding the original fountain and adding a gazebo, benches, and picnic tables, with amazing views of Saint Paul and the Mississippi River. The park is now one of the most popular in the city and the neighborhood has hit a renaissance.
