Chris Senior, the owner and founder of Anchorage Building Corp., has been a student of PassiveSolar construction since the 1970s. He pioneered Advanced GreenBuilding in NC daily since 1993, specializing in constructing some of the most energy-efficient and sustainable custom homes on the planet.

The team at Anchorage Building Corp. are trailblazers, having built the first three Certified Passive Houses in North Carolina and many more "almost" passive homes. Anchorage Building Corp. knows how to construct sturdy, weatherproof, hurricane-strong, high-performance, low-maintenance custom homes. The company uses green-building techniques while integrating super-efficient comfort systems for its clients.

Chris Senior is both a contractor and a realtor. He holds a BA and MA in Archaeology and Anthropology. Chris has been a real estate broker since 1978, and in 1993 began achieving firsts in advanced GreenBuilding throughout North Carolina. He has a holistic view toward custom home construction that his constant and continuing education has fostered. The goal of Anchorage Building Corp. is to build fabulous, uniquely inspired, low-maintenance, beautiful, ultra-efficient "forever" homes that are affordable for as many people as possible throughout the CHapil Hill region.
