Derek L Duell

Derek L Duell is a fourth-generation custom home builder and developer based in Corning, New York, who started his own custom home construction firm after working for his father for many years. Throughout his early years, Derek believed he would grow up to become a pastor or a home builder. Since he quickly realized he wasn't great at public speaking, he focused all his efforts on becoming a home builder. At the heart of Derek's passion for construction is the enjoyment he gets from delivering quality construction services to his clients and seeing the satisfaction on their faces when he provides them with the finished product. Derek L Duell bought his first investment property in 2004, and in 2005, he had the opportunity to build his first custom home from the ground up. At the same time, he subdivided his land and began his first residential development, Stone Cottage Forest. That was the start of Derek's career as a custom home builder and residential developer.

Since then, he has earned a solid reputation for providing the best quality homes to customers just like you, on time and within budget. During the market downturn of 2008, Derek purchased an investment home in Florida as a side project, renovated it, and almost immediately found a buyer that wanted to trade houses. Upon swapping the Florida home for a house in South Carolina, Derek fixed up that new home and sold it. In 2010, he bought another investment home and, after selling that one, put the money into his first rental home in Corning, NY. These experiences have shaped Derek's deep understanding of real estate and construction and helped him become a leading builder and developer in the Corning area.
