Owner Austin Emerson is a Western North Carolina native and third-generation builder. He began his career in custom home construction at a young age while working with his grandfather and father. In 2000, he relocated to Charlotte and joined a residential framing crew to expand his expertise. Finally, in the fall of 2005, Austin Emerson obtained his North Carolina General Contractor's License and launched Emerson Custom Homes, his custom home building enterprise. In 2010 Austin joined MB Haynes Corporation gaining commercial building management experience. While there, he served as a site superintendent and a project manager, fulfilling a critical role in starting a new company division.
