Gable Log Homes, based in Manning, South Carolina, has been delivering custom-milled, finely crafted log homes since 1983. Instead, Gable Log Homes has developed a unique tongue and groove log system with overlapping log joints similar to the time-proven joints used in lap siding.

Gable Log Homes uses the naturally resistant wood species Deep Swamp Red Cypress and Northern White Cedar. We also offer Borate-treated Eastern White Pine. Most of the company's logs are finely crafted from "Deep Swamp Red Cypress" trees harvested primarily from the Piedmont and Coastal regions of South Carolina. These are the same timberlands that provided the cypress used centuries ago to build the old historic homes found throughout Charleston and the "Low Country" of the Carolinas. Their longevity in such a hot and humid region is a true testament to Cypress's enduring beauty and durability. Cypress heartwood is significantly decay-resistant and insect-resistant due to the naturally occurring preservative known as cypressine.
