Founded by Bill Basic in 1991 towards the end of a rewarding career spanning two decades with two of the most active home builders in the Chicago area, Basic New Homes and a partner went on to redevelop the 192-acre Westgate Valley Golf Course in Palos Heights into the successful Westgate Valley Estates which consisted of 910 units comprising luxury single-family homes, townhomes, and manor homes. A coveted piece of infill property that was tremendously successful and for the next thirty years, Basic New Homes developed and built new homes throughout the southwest suburbs including Lockport, Bolingbrook, Plainfield, Gurnee, and more recently River Crossing in Sherwood. They have zoned, financed developed, and built well over 5,000 new homes throughout Illinois, North Carolina as well as Colorado and managed yearly production levels in excess of 500 units.
