Copper Hill Homes is a locally-based company developing upscale residential homes throughout Yucca Valley, California, for more than two decades. As the region’s premier residential developer, Copper Hill Homes has built a solid reputation for delivering the finest craftsmanship, the highest quality finishes, and those fine details that turn houses into homes. After he rose to prominence in the automotive industry, William E. Shack, Jr., in an effort to diversify, founded Copper Hill Homes in 1996. From his first dealership in 1976, Yucca Valley Ford-Lincoln-Mercury, Shack became a part of one of the nation’s largest minority-owned auto dealership groups and served as the founding president of the National Association of Minority Auto Dealers. Shack founded Copper Hill Homes to build affordable, high-quality homes in Yucca Valley, the community where he raised his own family and has now produced more than 500 homes.

Yucca Valley is a high desert community in Southern California conveniently located between the Joshua Tree National Park and the San Bernardino Mountains. Yucca Valley is approximately 25 minutes from Palm Springs and is characterized by moderate temperatures, clean air, and starry skies. Shack still owns Copper Hill Homes, though he now lives in Henderson, Nevada, home of Shack-Findlay Honda. Two of his sons manage Copper Hill Homes, William E. Shack, III as President and Vincent Shack as General Manager, while veteran Realtor Bob Armstrong manages the company’s real estate sales division. William E. Shack, Jr. is a renowned business consultant and sought-after speaker. His business ventures have been featured in several national publications, including Fortune Magazine, The San Diego Union Tribune, and The Los Angeles Times.
