Burnett Construction is a custom home construction firm based in Emory, Texas. Established in the late 1980s by Billy Burnett, Burnett Construction began as a small construction company, mainly doing small local farm projects and the occasional home construction or remodel. Thomas Jenkins started working with Burnett Construction in 1993 as a carpenter's helper while finishing his senior year at Yantis High School. Over the years, Thomas's strong work ethic and attention to detail allowed him to move up to a lead carpenter and, soon after that, a foreman position. By the late 1990s, Burnett Construction became a full-service construction company doing extensive remodeling jobs and building several new homes yearly.

Thomas began spending more time managing multiple projects and securing his place as a company leader. By 2000 the company had earned a solid reputation as the premier builder of quality homes in the greater Lake Fork and Lake Cypress Springs areas. In early 2006, Thomas acquired half ownership and became the managing partner of Burnett Construction. In 2009, he took full ownership. Since then, Thomas has worked diligently to maintain the strong reputation Burnett Construction has built while setting even higher standards of excellence.
