HomeSource Real Estate and Construction, Inc. is a partnership owned and operated by Tim Alexander and Clay Johnson. Tim and Clay have over 35 years of experience in the real estate, development and construction business. Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, Tim came to Western North Carolina 30 years ago to attend Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC. After graduating with a Business degree in 1984, Tim began work with a major resort developer head-quartered in Asheville, NC. Having a love of the Western North Carolina Mountains this was a natural fit. After twelve years working in the resort and construction industry, Tim decided to start his own building company. Clay grew up in Pennsylvania. A graduate from Gannon University, Clay moved to Asheville in 1995 to continue his career in the home building industry. With an emphasis in construction marketing Clay has been involved in the sales and construction of over two thousand homes. HomeSource is a fully insured and licensed general contractor specializing in residential and light commercial construction in the Asheville, NC and surrounding area. HomeSources’ philosophy for the building industry is to provide a “hands on” approach with our clients. The company builds 10 to 15 custom homes a year, plus numerous remodeling and light commercial projects. This philosophy enables HomeSource to provide an extremely close relationship with a competitive price. In addition to being a licensed general contractor, HomeSource is an active NC Real Estate Brokerage and Remodeling Company. The company is involved in many associations including the Asheville Board of Realtors, the Home Builders Association of Asheville, Western North Carolina Green Building Council, Asheville Chamber of Commerce and American Institute of Architecture – Asheville Section.
