After moving to Midland, Texas, in 1981, Kahler Homes grew quickly and gained a reputation as a leading custom home builder in the area. Helen Bowden began working with Kahler Homes Ltd. in 2002. Gary and Linda Kahler taught her the value of doing it right, doing the right thing, and doing both the first time. Through Gary and Linda, Helen learned the importance of everyone involved in the custom home construction process, from the homeowner and the tradesmen. When Linda retired in 2015, Helen picked up the reins to continue the Kahler Homes Ltd. tradition.
