Our homebuying experience was very good overall. We were living out of state and Jeff the building supervisor took videos everyweek and kept us up to date on progress of our build. Any questions that we had, Jeff got right back to us with an answer. The only negative is that downspouts and gutters do not come with the house (in South Carolina). We were never told that they were an option and had no idea that they did not come with the house. It was a cost that we were not expecting after moving into a new house.

Our salesman Brad was great to work with. Matt, our builder, did a great job!! There are some minor issues that are scheduled for repairs. Warranty issues are being addressed.

Never recieved hoa rules at closing. John M

What continues to be a problem is that we have not received a copy of the hoa guidelines. Beazer was suppose to deliver a paper copy at the closing. We are seniors and I cannot download the info. As far as issues go, we are waiting on a few that have now gone into the 3rd or 4th week.

Brandon, the builder, did an excellent job. He was knowledgeable and kept us up-to-date on what was happening each week, along with John, the sales rep. Brandon was always available to answer all of our questions. He still stops by and checks in on us.

Jessica was a very positively involved part of the process. She sent photos with her status weekly status update. The builder, Mike, did an excellent job of being involved in the weekly meetings. Our only concern comes to the contractors. We have a mostly small list of issues that are in the subcontractors hands. They don’t seem to be responding in a timely manner.

The one negative thing we did not like about dealing with Beazer was their total lack of willingness to make changes that were not on their options list. I asked for a hot water stub out behind a toilet, "we don't do that". Well what about an electrical outlet behind the toilet, "we don't do that". We don't like the three interior paint colors, how about if we buy the same exact paint you use just a different color and your painters apply it, "we don't do that". The house purchase process was very good. We are a bit disappointed with the mud and dirt in the street that gets carried into the driveway. The construction area is not very well maintained.

The process of meeting with Brad, Kelly and Lonnie and discussing plans, options, warranty were fine. The constuction phase was so so. The final stage was not so good, the building supervisor Lonnie failed in so many ways, he didn't schedule a cleaning crew his boss did it on her time off. The painting marginal at best the paint just peels off the winow casing LITERRALLY in hunks. Concrete worse I've ever seen looks like the floating and finish was done with a garden rake.There is a reason they only allow 4 visits, so you don't see the lack of professionalism and craftsmanship.

Good Building Experience. HOA is Awful.

The home building experience was good. Great communication. The HOA, which is still controlled by Beazer, is awful. Poor communication. Long wait for approval. Still not approved. If I'd known it would be so bad, I would reconsider purchasing in Beazer Harborview.

I like our new home with the exception of a couple issues. Main issue I have is with the Heat system or it could be Duck work, either way unit with master bedroom in back does not get the air flow need to properly heat the bedroom in winter without turning up the thermostat. Gas bill higher than you would think for such an efficient unit as stated to us. Did not like the Gas Stove, was not given an option of Electric.

Customer Service fell off drastically the last 6 too 8 weeks before closing. The change of assignment to Beazer staff did not provide the Customer Service we expected. It also affected the quality of work on the home.

I have found the experience frustrating. I was rushed to close and had issuers that needed to be fixed and addressed that I am still dealing with. I have to call repeatedly to get a response. When we met I got reassured things would be addressed and fixed but it’s been 11 days and I have heard nothing. I do not feel comfortable so far. Maybe it will improve but I would not close until things are done right.

When deciding to purchase a new build we went with Beazer because the Sales Representative Monika was quick to get back to us and answer any questions we might have. The process was slow and there were delays some due to material shortages others due to personnel and priority to spec homes. We finally were able to close on our home but it was far from quality work. The paint job was terrible with multi shades, random brush strokes, missed spots, and drips.
