Our home buying experience with Bloomfield has been the worst customer service experience of our lives. We were informed, mid covid (August 2020), that we would be closing 4-6 months after signing, that was not the case. We ended up closing almost 12 months after signing. The only time we got information of possible delays on our closing date were when we reached out to Jason, and his forecasts were always months off from the truth. First of all, I would truly like to thank Steve and Shaun for an excellent buying experience! Although it did get a little hectic as it got closer to my closing(no fault of theirs), I would definitely do it all over again!

After you pay your money the communication is horrible. They will ignore your emails as well as phone calls. If I had to do it over again I’d go with a different builder.

Workmanship was just poor . We did a initial walk through with the house not complete . The building foreman knew that the was not ready, but continued on with the walk through anyway. Yes he did say if we were not happy we can postpone the walk through the out the whole walk through. He knew there was a lot that needed to be done and fixed but was only going to fix the things we asked and saw, so if there were things that we didn’t catch and he knew of or saw he wasn’t gonna mark them down . this is a great home, my family loves it. location is amazing. this builder also never came back and changed their pricing after the contract was signed. during the time we did our build many other builders went back on their contract and asked for more money. it was a great relief knowing i picked a builder with integrity

Took 10 months for our house to be completed. Understand it was a challenge to build a house during a pandemic but we were initially told April and home was "completed" in July. We closed in July as we were asked to do. It is now September and we still have several punch list items outstanding. Also some problems we found after we closed and moved in. It has been a challenge getting items repaired. We were recently informed by Bloomfield that we need to deal directly with the sub contractors instead of notifying Bloomfield. Our building process was delayed for a number of reasons including supplies, weather, and work crew scheduling. But throughout the process, the project manager and property manager were very responsive to emails or calls. Usually had an answer back within 24 hours for any inquiries. The project manager (Chad) even met me at the site a couple of times to review the construction process status. Definitely felt like we were listened to during the process.

If someone from Bloomfield that has authority sees this, I've written you as well. Where was the project manager? I brought up several concerns that were flat out ignored (work wasn't completed properly for warranty purposes). We did a punch list walk through 2 weeks before closing and half the items weren't completed. Had to get a painter over to at least handle all the baseboard touch ups from the wood flooring because I didn't have time to mess with delaying movers and dealing with having all furniture shifted to get to it. Other items, like patching missing trim, was left undone. ...

The home buying process was more or less OK. But the issue of (1) multiple cracks on the concrete floor of the garage, front and back porch and driveway, (2) nonfunctioning garage door opener on the move-in day, (3) a dead tree in the backyard, (4) blocked master bath tub faucet on the move in day and (5) malfunctioning one AC unit within two weeks (not yet resolved after almost one month now) do not say something good about it.
