Quality of material used is not the best. You dont see these things until you move in and start seeing things.

After you pay your money the communication is horrible. They will ignore your emails as well as phone calls. If I had to do it over again I’d go with a different builder.

Workmanship was just poor . We did a initial walk through with the house not complete . The building foreman knew that the was not ready, but continued on with the walk through anyway. Yes he did say if we were not happy we can postpone the walk through the out the whole walk through. He knew there was a lot that needed to be done and fixed but was only going to fix the things we asked and saw, so if there were things that we didn’t catch and he knew of or saw he wasn’t gonna mark them down . We had a window that was missing for a couple of months and when we brought it up to their attention that we could possibly have water damage from rain they said the window was stolen and it don’t rain from when we informed them “probably a couple days”. But the window was missing for over a month . And we had some good rain within that month .driveway has a big crack but we were told it doesn’t hurt anything it’s just cosmetic. I think if I’m gonna pay over 350 k for a new house we should get a house that looks new . Rocks were left all over the yard sod just layer on top , when u cut grass one day a rock went flying and could’ve cracked a window . Paint and supplies were left in the house and I had to drive to drop off and dispose of them Beer cans and urine left in our bathrooms during the build . Some of our walls are starting to separate. I’m just wondering on how to word it to the warranty department, cause when I did call they try to make it like we don’t know what we’re taking about . We heard good things about Bloomfield that’s why we gave them a chance . I’m pretty sure the builders worked hard , but the workmanship and quality is not there . We understand that the house will settle and little cosmetic things will arise . But the blatant overlooking of good workmanship and waiting for us customers to find the things that are wrong and point them out to the builder is not acceptable. ... More

They have a lot of detail in there homes

Disappointed in the quality of craftsmanship which was one of the main reasons we went with Bloomfield vs another builder as the model homes were nice. Wish that craftsmanship was displayed in our build

this is a great home, my family loves it. location is amazing. this builder also never came back and changed their pricing after the contract was signed. during the time we did our build many other builders went back on their contract and asked for more money. it was a great relief knowing i picked a builder with integrity

Great sales agent and beautiful designs. However, not as perfect as you think, you will find a few minor mistakes but they’re very cooperative .

Bloomfield builds a beautiful home, however upon move in we experienced one problem after another.

Took 10 months for our house to be completed. Understand it was a challenge to build a house during a pandemic but we were initially told April and home was "completed" in July. We closed in July as we were asked to do. It is now September and we still have several punch list items outstanding. Also some problems we found after we closed and moved in. It has been a challenge getting items repaired. We were recently informed by Bloomfield that we need to deal directly with the sub contractors instead of notifying Bloomfield. So we closed when we were told even though there were still many items outstanding and now that Bloomfield has our money they are telling us they will no longer assist us with getting items repaired we have to deal directly with the contractors. Getting response from the contractors has also been a challenge. Been a very frustrating experience all around. ... More

Our building process was delayed for a number of reasons including supplies, weather, and work crew scheduling. But throughout the process, the project manager and property manager were very responsive to emails or calls. Usually had an answer back within 24 hours for any inquiries. The project manager (Chad) even met me at the site a couple of times to review the construction process status. Definitely felt like we were listened to during the process.

If someone from Bloomfield that has authority sees this, I've written you as well. Where was the project manager? I brought up several concerns that were flat out ignored (work wasn't completed properly for warranty purposes). We did a punch list walk through 2 weeks before closing and half the items weren't completed. Had to get a painter over to at least handle all the baseboard touch ups from the wood flooring because I didn't have time to mess with delaying movers and dealing with having all furniture shifted to get to it. Other items, like patching missing trim, was left undone. Overall quality is as expected from a mass builder, but several items are unacceptable. I more or less had to manage my home build due to the lack of presence from the PM. And I've been stuck with the finish out as the work was dumped on the warranty guy (who's actually been extremely helpful), but I'm now having to coordinate my days and time to let people in to finish work that should have been finished before we moved. These are not warranty items, but punch list items. I feel a 5% of sale compensation for having to act as the project manager is more than fair. Other than that, the house was build fast and overall seems to be holding up ok (other than the finish quality on the solid wood floors). We've been in about 3 months now. ... More

Second to none I’m greatly grateful

Burke was amazing but I felt that his hands were tied on certain issues, one classic example is I wanted cat six or cat seven cable runs for high speed connection and because it was outrageously expensive I didn’t do it and now I’m paying the price for it because my Internet is very very slow and its because of the cabling… I am very very disappointed in your contractors they do terrible work, leave trash everywhere, you have to keep going back and have them redo things over and over again, I would be more than happy to talk to one of your executives about this experience, if I’m spending a half a million on a house I expect nothing but perfection. Even to this day I’m still having issues with several things in the house that could’ve been prevented by doing better quality work and having more experience contractors that care about what they do instead of just throwing things together, please have somebody contact me I would be more than willing to go over quite a few items ... The home buying process was more or less OK. But the issue of (1) multiple cracks on the concrete floor of the garage, front and back porch and driveway, (2) nonfunctioning garage door opener on the move-in day, (3) a dead tree in the backyard, (4) blocked master bath tub faucet on the move in day and (5) malfunctioning one AC unit within two weeks (not yet resolved after almost one month now) do not say something good about it.

Placement of AC unit we can’t use our gate AC unit is blocking gate our landscaping is poor quality back yard has poor draining issues We had other issues through out our process.

We like our home & location.

Not at all what we thought it would be for our first time buying a home. Landscaping is horrible tons of rocks under the sod. Water doesn’t drain on one side of the house. Still waiting to get some things repaired. The builder knows that the contractors do SLOPPY work and they drink on the job which is bad all together beer bottles be everywhere. Still waiting to hear back from the warranty department.. Love the home but poor quality no insulation in the walls at all you can hear every move somebody makes and when the toilet is flushed upstairs. POOR quality and nobody cares cause it’s not their money being spent cause it’s ours. ... More

So this home buying experience was like no other. We originally signed a contract with Bloomfield 2 years ago. However, the loan agent we were working with dropped the ball, dragged her feet and we ended up finding out 1 week prior to closing that we were not approved. My wife and I were devastated. Jeff (Bloomfield's rep) called me within an hour of me finding out and told me to come down to the office, because he knew he could get us into a house with the preferred lender. Although we were upset that we could not get the house we originally wanted Jeff told us to go pick a lot and come back. We ended up picking a corner lot, and my wife was able to handpick every item within our house. Yes, we were delayed but the communication and expectations were always set by Jeff and Kevin. They never led me to believe they were delaying on purpose, and I can even say Kevin took personal time to go check on my house and the sub-contractors. To even go deeper on amazing this builder is, Kevin follows up with me almost daily now that we closed to ensure all issues were resolved if not, he is the first to get a hold of someone and have them over to my house within days. We are so happy and have Jeff and Kevin to thank. I wont buy another house from anyone else. ... More
