Initially we thought the entire experience had been great. However, upon moving in there were several things that caused us to lose some of the excitement. When the internet company came to establish service it was found that the outside coax home run wires were missing. When I spoke to Leeroy about the issue I was initially told, “that’s your home now you have to contact everyone directly.” While I understand this fact, it had only been a few days since closing and this was an issue that should have been noticed by the builder. We contacted the builder(Floyd) who advised us to contact the ...

We bought a home from Bloomfield in April of 2023. The house looks nice but immediately after moving in it became clear that the quality of materials used and the quality of the labor hired to build it were subpar, especially at this price point. Within 6 weeks we’ve noticed cracked sinks, peeling paint, defective tiles, damage to our front door that was identified during the pre-closing inspection and still not addressed. Everything is made of particle board rather than actual wood and some trim in the kitchen is already peeling. The sales manager, Chris, is a pleasant guy and I ...

Houses poorly made. Material is cheap. Still waiting for my screens to be put on. Garage (concert) unfinished. Shower floor is chipping. Kitchen Cabinets drawers (two) fell off the roller making it hard to open & close. I was told the floors were real hardwood I dnt think they are. The toilet (I have 3) were the cheapest toilets BF could. I already replaced 1, i will be replacing the other 2. Made a report got no response.

Bloomfield Homes Maplewood 2 is a subdivision where they feel we should receive less than the others home like Tree-farms, Daniel Farm. We should receive all the same type of attention and what we ask for at the time of picking out our design. Every home should not all look alike! When someone build a home other shouldn’t be allowed to go into their home while being built! Project management shouldn’t sign off anything unless.. they have actually checked it! Bloomfield has the worst workmanship I’ve ever had! I’ve bought homes from KB homes, Richmond Homes, And Seeno homes, by far Bloomfield is the worst! You can see all the drywall tape, patching on walls door trim damages and baseboards damages! This is a new home and I am the first owner, but this home looks like someone lived here before damaged a bunch of stuff and they hired Mexicans from Home Depot’s parking lot to fix it!

Our house took 13 months to complete, was only supposed to take 6. Communication from the sales and builder side is awful. We didn't have a closing date until 2 days before we actually closed. I bought the house because I knew I liked it from looking at photos online and reviewing the price. When I arrived at the community, the people working the sales office tossed us keys to a few houses and told me to take a look. A couple of those houses were 75-100k outside of my stated price range so they either weren't listening to me or they didn't care. I also had trouble getting basic answers to questions from them during the closing process. They were nice enough people, but I don't understand what they actually do there or why they are being paid.

I love my home now, but I did not enjoy the home buying process with the Bloomfield sales representative who I found difficult to work with as he often did not like to answer questions and was rude when he did not know the answer. I also received inaccurate information on many occasions. Also, the original project manager assigned to me was terrible and never provided me with updates. I do not wish the sales rep Fran on anyone. She looses all paperwork never remembers any. Basically had to send her screen shots to get my paperwork correct. The home is gorgeous.. worth all the unpleasantness we dealt with for a year.. we started out with an amazing property manager who was very open and honest and communicated great. I also appreciated the project manager for his honesty along the way.. I understand covid was also in play so we were as understanding as possible.. they let go of our property manager and brought in someone we don’t trust at all. Over all I do like my new house, but the ask of this survey is to rate my experience. First off the build was a month late. I know this build was in the middle of a pandemic, but the reality is it caused me to live out of my RV for a month. It also forced me to keep my household items in storage an extra month. Second blinds were written into my contract but did not get installed till after I moved in. I had to take time off from work trot them to finish something that should have been done before I moved in. Third is my front door was wrapped and was leaving a half inch gap between the ...

Too many issues for a new build

We bought a home that had been finished for approximately 8 months. The list of major things that were wrong with the house upon the walkthrough were way too numerous given the length of time there was available to fix things. Leaking sprinklers, windows are not evenly set, gaps in the floor, holes in the floor, air vents hanging from the ceiling and the list goes on. Bloomfield was slow to fix the issues until a lengthy email was sent about all of the issues and referring to the house in a negative manner. We will never buy another Bloomfield home.

The agent made the whole process annoying and terrible and still never met the agent given the agent was on vacation, again, the day I picked up my keys. Well, first of all the house was not professionally cleaned. I know I was out of state, but the Home Builder should have caught a lot of these problems. I've had to have warranty work fixed and I have an issue with having so many floor tiles to be replaced. Also, my two bathrooms need to be re-grouted and for being a new home they should've been grouted correctly the first time. I also have a window in my master bathroom that the windowsill is not finished so the workmanship is not there for me.

Seller was great. I had lots of issues with the builder about not addressing issues I brought up during construction and prior to closing that were supposed to have been resolved. Whenever I reach out for an issue I got the feeling that he was irritated with my requests despite me having no irritation in paying the money for the house.
