As a Realtor, I have had the opportunity to visit and show my clients several homebuilders and Bloomfield Homes is one of my favorites! So, after closing a Bloomfield Home with two families, I was able to notify the Sales Team that it was my turn and they were just as excited as I was! Trustworthy upfront and transparent in all dealings. We absolutely love the finished home and the look and feel.

Jeff was amazing ! he went above and beyond and made our first home shopping less stressful. He was there to answer any questions and made us engaged through out the whole process.

It wasn't easy to communicate with the builder. My questions were answered with (per code, within the limit, per design). The builder had fake passed test reports and was trying to convince me that everything was perfect, while my 3rd party inspection found lots of minor and major issues.

Buyer pay close attention. When they tell you to point out any issues, DO IT. The builder is not checking any quality. They just let to contractors do as they please. I was surprised at what we had to point out to be fixed. I thought obvious issues would be dealt with but no. They use the cheapest constructed cabinets I’ve ever seen. Zero quality. Zero pride in workmanship. Instead of making cabinet seems fit they just stick trim over the seam. Cabinet guides were bent and not parallel. Obvious from the beginning. I kept being told everything would be taken care of. Now 1 month into occupancy and I have brand new cabinet drawer that bind up and jump the tracks. I expected better for a $500k plus home but was told by the supervisor these are production homes. That’s what you get. Overall a nice home but do not give a non refundable deposit. The overall experience was very frustrating and most of the frustration was unavoidable due to the Covid effect. Jeff always responded though no matter how many questions I had about my home. One thing I did come to appreciate is Bloomfield not cutting corners like I heard other builders were doing leaving buyers very upset with the quality of their home. The thing I hated most at times was the picture updates when the house was at a standstill. Sara was always a joy to chat with during those extended delays as well. Horrible experience and a nightmare

Great Community and Good House to Stay

This process was easy, however it was long. Communication between phases could help ease worrying minds. Overall, this was a great experience.

Getting small things repaired for a new construction home is a challenge. The warranty people are responsive but the time frame to follow through with getting things fixed end up being delayed Example: Dishwasher, floors, fence, and tub need repair in my new construction home. Scheduling for warranty items only occur during the week day from 8:00-5:00, so it's challenging to get things fixed when you work. I'm still waiting on touch up paint to be delivered and I was told that it would be left in the house when I did the orientation. Overall, I like my new home and I think the finishes are beautiful. but it requires multiple requests for additional time and follow-up check-ins in with the warranty people to get things fixed. I will also note that this is not my first purchase of a home. This is my 3rd home and the 2nd home that I purchased was also a new construction home. I didn't have this many issues that needed to be fixed with either of the other two homes so my expectations were that I wouldn't have to have as many things fixed in my house if I bought a new home. ... From the moment we decided to buy a house and till we closed Bloomfield homes was always the first choice! Great team to work with especially Jeff who was courteous throughout! The layout plans and interior perfectly match with what we needed!

The paint drops on the wood floor, paint/texture on granite counters and poor workmanship with the caulking in the bathroom was quite surprising! It truly looks like a 5 year old caulked the bathroom. This was pointed out to the project manager during our new homeowner orientation, but nothing has been done since. I am not sure I would recommend a Bloomfield home, given our experience. We believe if we lived locally when home was being built, many of these issues would have been resolved prior to close of escrow. We believe the fact that we were out of state, we were taken advantage of to some degree. ... More

Overall the process was good. The quality of the workmanship for the price we paid is disappointing. Very inconsistent workmanship and finishes. Quality of appliances is also disappointing. However, Michael H. and Jason B. were great to work with!

Warranty is not very good.,Have problem with the roof but they tell us as long it's not leaking it doesn't matter what it looks, like have ridges from ply wood not seated or warped bad craftsmanship.Seems Bloomfield does not care how their homes look like.

I like the layouts but some of the craftsmanship is not what I expected

The building process was well done with the exception of choice of the hardware for drawers in the kitchen/ bathroom by the cabinet supplier- The use of European slides, does not exude the quality of ball bearing slides from expectations of what a "Deluxe " kitchen. would offer. As we chose a "deluxe" kitchen, the use of cheap slides was a disappointment as these tend to "rack". Cost differential is $4.00 for the European slide's vs $6.00 for the ball bearing. The self-closing would be couple dollars more. So, the choice by the builder left disappointment for the value. the savings of 10 drawers amounts to $30-40 overall. Something that is used every day should be good quality instead of "adequate " quality. Bloomfield missed this point on this home. ... More

I like the floor plan and exterior design the first time I saw the Bloomfield brochure. The colored brochure itself is a great idea, beautifully made, more like promoting a valuable home, than being hand-over a blueprint. Everyone at the Stone Ranch, Wylie office is very professional throughout the entire process. Matt has been very informative at every stage of the purchasing and construction. He was extremely accommodating and coordinated many of our extra requests due to being out of state. He made on-time closing possible. Cindy's design experience was extremely helpful when I was selecting colors and materials. One of my neighbors complimented it even before the construction was completed. Brad and Luis were very responsive after the inspection and even after we moved in. Working with this fantastic team, one does not need a realtor at all. ... More

This was our first time buying a new build and it was a frustrating experience. There were several things that were not communicated that we wouldn't have known to ask. When we did have questions, the team was not responsive. Even now that we've moved it, when we point something out we are told that's how its supposed to be but then after looking at it, they will say they will send someone to fix it.

Our home was already 80% completed by the time we decided to purchase from Bloomfield Homes. We had an excellent experience with the builder from that point through closing. Everything went as planned.

The home is beautiful, however upon moving in a lot of imperfections were noticed. It was very easy spot areas where the work was rushed, including the horrible paint job that can be seen in the evenings. A few repairs were made after getting my realtor involved, but the major concerns had been ignored and the responsiveness of the responsible parties is awful. If I had the opportunity to give this house back and go with another builder I definitely would. I feel like I could’ve gotten a better home for the money that I spent and I really regret not going with one of the other homes I viewed. I’m at the point where I’m ready to take them to court to get the things in my home that need urgent attention repaired. ... More

This was a challenging year to build a house due to supply chain issues that created shortages in material but Bloomfield stuck to their price. Potential delays were communicated in advance and the sales rep did a solid job of maneuvering around the land mines. There are still a few cosmetic things that need to be worked on but I'm confident Bloomfield will take care of them. Overall, we're satisfied with the product and the process.
