Bloomfield kept their word when other builders did not regarding the locked in price of the home when rates continued to increase.

My wife and I are super excited about the buying experience. It was very smooth sailing. The manager was very good at keeping us informed through the entire experience. Not to mention that the homes here are gorgeous. I would highly recommend Bloomfield Homes for anyone in the market right now.

This is my second Bloomfield home, 4th build experience, I have also helped sell several Bloomfield homes, and this was the WORST sales experience. From the get go, Andy was slow to respond and almost cost us several thousand dollars due to a delay in signing of the contract AFTER we paid our honest money… after back and fourth he relented and gave us a discount. However that was only the beginning as he continued to either not communicate with us or not listen to us or even document what we wanted. During the design phase he argued with what we wanted and neglected to place our selections he disagreed with. This resulted in us as the buyer having to continuously remind Andy and caused undue delays. This includes cabinets not being ordered for upgrades, excluded or tile flooring in our kitchen, and other things. When it came time for our closing date he asked us for empathy and understanding, yet provided none for us. We were moving across half the country and the lack of communication from Andy resulted in multiple increases for the move. Near the end our date changed yet again, and yet again Andy neglected to tell us (title told us through or loan company), had I not known, he would have generated 5-10 thousand in losses between travel and care. Often times, the only way to get an update was for me to fly from my source state to Dallas to visit Andy physically as he almost never called or emailed me. Andy post close has neglected to follow up on his commitments, there is many more issues that I have with the sales process. I would expect this experience in a home between 100-250k but not at 3/4s a million… I am happy to discuss more if needed to help improve Bloomfield. I once was a STRONG advocate for Bloomfield to my peers, friends, family, and strangers, I am not sure that is the case due to Andy. My move from TN to TX was made seamless with the help of Chris and his team. Chris communicated very well on the progress of my new home. I enjoyed talking to Chris about my new home. He made me feel like part of the Bloomfield family.

Great company and trust worthy

Quality is not in question - they built me a quality home. Trustworthiness - the CEO really set the bar high for what he expects from his company. There were other builders that were up charging their customers for the inflated costs or canceling and resigning customers. Bloomfield came out and said - The contract price is what we agreed and signed on and we will honor that price. In a market with tons of delays, issues, and unexpected issues that says a lot about the company. I had a chance to talk to the CEO - he truly cares about each and every house that he builds and care about his customers. My builder Travis was extremely open and honest about expectations. Travis was always respectful, professional, and very informative when you had a question, complaint, or concern. Travis wanted the best for his customers as well. Value and price - again for the quality and size of house - the price is what i was expecting and great value. Responsiveness - I think at times communications were a little bit challenging. I think there are a number of factors that contributed to that. If i could recommend anything to Bloomfield is every two weeks develop a schedule or a portal where the future home owner can go and check the status. Like simple things - whats on tap for the next few weeks, successes - like frames were delivered - i think this would put peoples minds at ease. I think if there are delays in this day and age - communicating that to the customer can help eliminate tension / stress during this time. I know in talking with the team at Bloomfield - doing that alone could be a full time job... so i don't know how to accomplish that successfully - but would be greatly beneficial. My wife and I decided it was time to finally move after 2 decades in our first home. A family friend recommended Bloomfield Homes after we had checked out several other builders. The #1 thing that I respect and appreciated about Bloomfield is the contract price was the price we paid for the home. I've heard horror stories of other builders in our area where this is not the case. The housing market is bizarre so that was peace of mind for us. We have had a few minor issues since moving in and closing but I have to give the team for our community an A in their responses so far. If there's anything to take from my review it is this, nothing or no company is ever perfect but from a Trustworthiness standpoint, I don't regret buying a Bloomfield home. Bloomfield honored the contract price even after one year of supply difficulties and supply price increases. They kept their promise to us. Outstanding.

Supply chain issues took more than a year to resolve. But the house is nice!

Trent and his team did an awesome job getting the home together. After the home was completed, Trent made sure that if there were any deficiencies, which is to be expected when purchasing new, that he was there with his team to replace/repair immediately.

Our home buying process was absolutely amazing. Steve and Tamara are a delight to work with. They were both very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. They answered every question that we had throughout the entire process and made us feel like family. Sean (Builder) was a delight as well. These individuals represent Bloomfield Homes to the fullest. The home itself is a breath of fresh air. My Wife and I speak about the love that we have for our home daily and feel that we will enjoy it for the rest of our lives. Very fair, even at the height of the market. They didn’t have us bid against other potential buyers. It was first come, first served, and that was much appreciated.

Mike is good pretty good at communication but overall not the best especially with the finance company.. The part of contract that we had to sale our home by roofing stage. But the Bloomfield is an estimate which essentially could have put us homeless with the estimate on Bloomfield’s side. We ended up purchasing a home which we had no choices. The plumbing line had to be worked on x2 in the first week due to construction debris not being taken care of. The water to the dishwasher was not connected. The fence is bars showing one side then not on then showing then not no consistency with it. Just grateful we are finally in a home. ... More

We loved working with Bloomfield Homes; they were the consummate professionals. Their attention to details, integrity, and quality of product was top of the line!

We contracted for our home in Nov of 20 with a projected completion date of Oct 21 but did not get to close on it until April of 22 in the Oak Hill Ranch development in Cross Roads. Bloomfield honored everything in the contract which was greatly appreciated. We were told about some of the delays that were associated with supply shortages and or damaged materials all during a global pandemic to boot. However, our sales manager left in late 2021 so transitioning to his replacement added to our overall frustration with lack of communication by Bloomfield team members. Frequently we asked for updates and or a schedule on when we could expect work to be done. It was hard to get them to respond and it felt like we were constantly initiating the dialog not them pushing us information. We did not obtain an actual closing date until the week of closing. While the team delivered on almost everything we asked for, they were more reactive than proactive in the final stages of the build, having to correct some improperly installed items. We were also put through an exercise to replace our flooring choice to keep things moving forward, but Bloomfield had no info or samples of the possible replacement flooring to look at or compare quality and warranty. In the future Bloomfield please do a better job of sticking to the schedule you set and have someone give frequent updates to buyers and be prepared with alternative solutions if needed, so they can understand along the way. ... In light of the ongoing pandemic, understandably there were some shortages. But 15 months we waited patiently for our home to be complete. There were months when it was dormant with no activity, no communication. At 12 months we began reaching out to the builder and no response by phone, email or text; When we finally arrived unexpectedly at the show house, we were told IT's Bloomfield policy to not communicate with pending owners, that's the job of the site manager. Unprofessional and rude! Before closing we were met with hostility and blatant disrespect , and poor craftmanship with several areas needing fixing before we signed. I would not recommend any new home owner to purchase here. Our experience was HORRIBLE!!!! After speaking with neighbors many have expressed the same complaints. Buyers beware!! The overall experience was good. Bill eas great to work with. On the other hand, Matt was unprofessional and could not be trusted to respond as requested or not at all. He failed to communicate or address issues that were presented.

We neither had a pre-construction meeting nor new home orientation. Quality is poor. AC didn't work for some time. Some items missing and damaged door left inside home. No response to emails when asked to remove it. We had to carry it outside and leave it at construction site. I wish I didn't move from my previous home.

Overall the home-buying experience with Bloomfield was very good. What I take exception to is to what happened after I signed the sales contract. Specifically, I was informed that the City of Forney imposed an easement for a gas line which required that my fence line was brought in by 20 feet . Therefore there is currently 20 feet x 65 feet outside my fence-line which I am required to maintain and for which I receive no enjoyment or use of. I believe Bloomfield should have renegotiated the price of the property since my home sits on a substantially smaller lot than what I purchased. Additionally, I believe the Project Manager could have been more accommodating when scheduling appointments with the buyer. Compared to the previous two builders that I have done business with, by far and I mean very far, my experience with Bloomfield has been superior from start to finish. I am very pleased with the quality of workmanship and materials in my home and Bloomfield has stood by their word!

Community Manager Bill was great to work with as well as the loan team.
