The process to build my Bloomfield home was horrendous. Trying to reach someone to get issues around my home fixed is a nightmare. I will never go with Bloomfield again. It took almost a year and half to build my home.

The salesman and head builder for the Kings Fort location are not good.

1) Bloomfield messed up on the brick for our front patio and columns. The columns were crooked and brick was cracking and falling off. The slope of brick which is supposed to clear the window of our office in the front was blocking the window. I had to get into an argument with them so they would fix it because they weren't going to. They tried to say it was right then I submitted them pictures of the same house they built from different streets and then they had no choice but to fix. 2) During the final walk through we had to place hundreds of tape markers on the walls, doors and floorboards. The paint and texture was atrocious. 3) A day after moving in our plumbing stopped working on a Sunday. They ended up having to dig our front yard up to replace a section of pipe. 4) We had a gas smell coming from our range. The provider came out and cut our gas off and red tagged. The gas line was not up to code and had to be fixed. Later it was found the range was also leaking at the burners so then the whole range had to be replaced. Extremely dangerous! 5) The water line for the dishwasher was not hooked up so when we ran it, the dishwasher started melting and had to be replaced. 6) They threw our sod over trash, debris, rocks and bricks which we had to have redone as well. 7) Our driveway and sidewalk concrete looks horrible. Lines are crooked and the concrete is not smooth. We were told all the houses in the neighborhood were like that. They must think we can't use our eyes to actually look at the other house's concrete which looked professional compared to ours. This is not resolved. 8) Our garage and patio concrete already have significant cracks. We were told this is normal in settling which is true but not immediately like we have. Meanwhile, the Highland homes around us have no foundation cracks and have been in place for a year. Every time we brought issues up we weren't apologized to. We were just told excuses about everything. We were told that we shouldn't be complaining because the same house is now $100k more than we bought it for 6 months prior even though our house appraised only $2k over what we bought it for during closing. This was by far the worst build in my home buying experience…. This is number 3… Indy was the worst person to communicate with and pushed everything off on her assistants. Anthony the project manager was horrible as well, he made this build feel like we were getting the worst quality and craftsmanship available, always saying he can’t find contractors to finish jobs.. I’m fixing a lot of theses issues myself.

The builder, Mike, we dealt with was by far the most horrible human being. He was extremely rude and disrespectful. He never wanted to answer our questions/concerns. Sometimes he wouldn't respond at all. We called corporate to no avail. These people act as if they are not in business. During the building process there were an abundance of quality issues, lying, and wrong things being done, things left out of building plan that HAD to be addressed and the experience of dealing with the builder was gruesome! We viewed their ratings, and there it was in black and white. HORRIBLE! Our mortgage company had to ask for a closing date, we could never get a definite date. They were rude/unprofessional to our mortgage company and our Realtor as well. Bloomfield needs people that understand customer service work, maybe they would appreciate your buyers. It's called CUSTOMER SERVICE training and their jobs should depend on it. There are things that need repair so I pray! Our home buying experience with Bloomfield left us suffering! VERY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY, THE SALE PERSON GAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HE DOESNT LISTEN AND NEVER ONCE DID HE INTRODUCE ME TO THE BUILDERS. THEY LEFT THINGS NOT DONE RIGHT, I HAD TO CALL THE WARRANTY COMPANY AND THE JOB STILL NOT FINISH. I WASTED TO MUCH MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.

Horrible experience. The sales manager was unorganized, didn't communicate. The home construction phase was Horrible things were done wrong and upon completion after during a home inspection found other issues.

I didn't have a good experience at all.

We’ve had an ongoing roof leak since we moved in that doesn’t seem will ever get resolved. We have issues with the sod and grade of the backyard that also doesn’t seem likely to be resolved anytime soon. The Warrenty person doesn’t return calls , now that they have our money we’re not a priority anymore, on to the next new buyer. After closing new buyers are not priority. That’s been my experience

The sales representative was amazing but the quality of work is not what I expected. Even now I am in the house and they came to do touch up paint, the caulking at the bottom of the floor looks as if I been in the house for months. And they still missed areas with the touch up paint and when I tried to explain it to them, they didn’t understand and would make the areas worst. Smh... The quality of the paint on the kitchen cabinets disturbs me, if I slightly even hit one of the cabinets incorrect the paints clips off and it should not be that way at all. I don't know what to say except to quote standards that meets an approved industry standard. You can check yourself the International Code Council Sec 1604.4 Wind Standards for this area is 90 MPH and the same section defines how wind speeds are determined. If you listen to the weather stations they quote wind gust not wind speed. The project manager could have pulled that to someone else and it would have worked, just so happen it pulled that on the wrong person who knew better. If you do not want to fix the fence then just say so, but don't quote me some thing that I know is wrong. They refuse to fix things properly and want to do a work around. I have an exterior door that is not square and they’re tried to shim it and add additional weather strip. The new weather stripping is already getting worn because the door does not sit properly and they’ve been put twice to fix it and yet they refuse to acknowledge the actual problem.

I don't like writing reviews...... But wanted to make sure the proper rating was given.

If I could I would have picked another builder, we were told the ants on the outside of the home were going to be taken care of before we moved in that was October of 2018. We have spent months with Orkin trying to rid the home of ants. Once you sign your contract your on your own. We would not recommend Bloomfield Homes to anyone. We have so many issues and I’m the one taking care of them. Oh well buyer beware.
