Overall it was Great Experience, i was connected to builder and they informed about all the activities going on related to construction and had some meetings as well when needed...

Good experience with Blake, very professional for a smooth moving transition. Quality materials/Finishes need to be improve

Wrong drain pan broke washing machine, dishwasher leaked, one toilet wobbled, front door and garage door not seated properly, sliding door lock did not work, screens for slider were missing, one cabinet installed 3/4” lower than the others, gap in base molding between two cabinets, hall bathtub drain slow and last but not least-major drainage issue required three plumbers to be resolved.

Very disconnected all departments involved in home buying process, lack of a deal management as a whole. Terrible communication between Pulte different areas.

Hi, I requested more than 15 warranties in less than two months living in the property. The answer has not been as quick as desired.

There were TWO people from Centex (i.e., Pulte) that were GREAT to work with. That's not to imply that everyone else was bad...it's just that these two people were exceptional, and one was over-the-top exceptional. That said, I don't feel at the end of the process that I ended up with the home that *I* wanted. What I ended up with was the home that Centex/Pulte was willing to build for me (again..."per plan"). This is the problem with "production builders" like Centex/Pulte, and going in...I knew I would have a problem "fully liking" the end result. Next time...it's custom home builder all the way!!! At least that's the way I'll get the home that *I* want - and NOT the other way around again. This doesn't mean we didn't end up with a "quality home" at the end of this process. (In a LOT of ways, the final "quality" of the home is yet to be determined - perhaps after a few hurricanes pass over.) As I said...it's just not the *final* home that I wanted...and now I'm going through additional non-trivial deconstruction/reconstruction expenses to get that home that I wanted. It pretty much sucks. And that's how I feel about the whole experience as I write this review today...and we have yet to actually live in our new Centex/Pulte home for a full month. ... More

Salesperson not very good, story always was changing on different issues, Site manager was excellent , concerned about our questions, lots of small details not in included in build EX Towel ring in 1/2 bath, towel rack in master and second bath separate outlet and switches for bedroom lamps now difficult to match hardware. Overall now occupied long enough to do a detailed review, lets see in 6 months

One month in and found a clogged sink, a leaky toilet, windows that won’t close, and ants. Warranty team is great fixing, but…

Nice neighborhood , good quality , but responsiveness to issues it’s pretty bad .

Too many details issues with finishing

I would say the house was not done with the best quality. There have been things that have been repaired since the move in. Sloppy work at times.

Though I acknowledge Pulte is still trying to solve open issues, the fact of the matter is that I found too many issues with Centex not only before and during closing but afterwards. Some of them related to internal communications in Centex and third parties/design center and some others related to construction, management and final execution. Field manager was suddenly changed and things improved after that but still important issues were found and still I am struggling to have them closed. Centex did not even accept to delay closing and while I accepted the proposed closing date, the house was not finished and right now I am working with the warranty team. ... More

The home buying process with Centex has been only slightly better than buying a pig in a poke. Our closing date was moved up by the builder, presumably to enhance their month end figures. This resulted in the house not being exactly ready. Much of the finishing was sloppily completed. This includes: doors hung without being level, crooked electrical outlets, painting overspray, inconsistent painting, closet framework not being caulked and painted, drier vent not being attached, noticeable gaps between the front door and its frame, to name a few. Some of this was fixed before closing, some was promised to be fixed between 2nd walk through and closing, some we are still waiting to be fixed over a month (see further down in the review). Centex’s title company was unprepared for our closing as they had many of our documents incorrect, and then had the audacity to blame us for their error. Using the centex system to get repairs completed has been difficult. First, they give you the link you need to use at closing, however this link doesn’t work, it takes you to an error page. Once you do your own research to find the correct page you then submit tickets that may or may not get addressed, which leads to having to resubmit the same requests repeatedly. Read your HOA docs very carefully! While they say outside maintenance is included in the HOA fee, they only mean that “some” outside maintenance is included. To name just one thing. At the end of the day we are happy with our new home, but the amount of effort on our and our realtor’s parts to get here has been exhausting. And it will take many more emails and service request tickets to have the home finished the way it should have been prior to closing. ... More

not good experience in my first day in my new home

Everything was great until the last week of the home being finished, a lot of unfinished areas and not inspected properly. Will never buy Pulte/Centex again, will be selling in the next 2 yrs or so.

Trevor( our project manager) has promised to resolve issues upon closing that are still happening. Afterwards he said to deal with the insurance. Make sure you don’t close until everything looks great or be ready to deal with these types of issues.

Builder refuse to communicate to fix issues in the house after occupancy. Garage has cracks in the floor, unfinish concrete interior borders. garage roll up door does not sit flat on the concrete floor. you can see light thru the garage roll up door. Hot water tank AC drips on the garage floor, receptacles and switches in the house does not work . dish washer leaks, rear glass door no handle, sloppy paint job. Pulte issued me a warrant

I would advise anyone to make sure a thorough review or walk through is conducted, and areas needing to be corrected are addressed prior to closing. Our overall buying experience was good, it’s the quality and attention to detail, esp. the workmanship which is the problem.

I wish it was a better communication system

I made my first home purchase in the USA at Centex/Pulte and my experience was unfortunately pretty bad. My house came with no refrigerator, washing machine, tumble dryer, curtains, cabinet handles. In addition, irrigation does not work right, a lamp has already fallen in 2 months, shower loosened, among other problems.

Wouldn’t recommend. Poor experience for my first home
