I think somethings fell thru the cracks at the moment of explaining all possible options for the home, but overall good experience with both the seller and construction management and to this point continue to have good communication with both. I would try again with Centex Homes in any future home purchase.

Good value home

Very knowledgeable, caring and understanding in what you're looking for. Their product speaks for itself.

Great but built too quick

As a first time homeowner, I wanted to get a newer house to avoid issues down the road. After closing, I have seen some issues with quality of workmanship and material in a short amount of time, which requires maintenance/warranty from the builder. Good thing is my builder's rep is very responsive and has been helping to address all issues I have. After these problems are taken care of, I am hopeful the property will last for a foreseeable future.

The layout and materials used are better than other home builders I have worked with. Centex has been responsive throughout the process. Their sales staff could definitely be more knowledgeable. Had a major issue with a room not being constructed the way I was told it would be which soured me to layout in general. Construction manager was fantastic though and great to work with.

Materials are used for kitchen and restrooms not strong enough.

Overall I had a positive experience in buying a home through Centex/Pulte. Our sales representative was very kind and helpful. We had a water intrusion event prior to closing and the team was very responsive and upfront with us. They also paid for all of the testing and remediation costs. The site manager Troy, was also extremely helpful and worked with us to make sure we were happy with our home. We have had some issues with our cabinets, lots of missed paint touch ups, poor caulking/sealing around baseboards and other cracks, and small cracks/lines in the drywall. We have also had some minor electrical issues, but those were easily repaired. Some of these are likely due to replacement after the water issue and probably not what would be normal in a regular build. That being said, given the price we paid it definitely felt like a lot of these issues should have been addressed. I would describe the quality overall as really good on the big stuff, but some corners were cut or the job was just done too quickly on the small things. Thankfully, we haven't run into anything that cant be fixed, and the warranty team, Marc, has been really great at getting things done. Probably the worst part in dealing with Centex has been their contractors using our water and putting trash on our property while building other homes in the neighborhood. I have had paint splashed on my exterior walls from their painters washing out paint with my spigot. However, that wouldn't be a concern if the homes near us were built already. Despite some of these negatives, I have already recommended a Centex home to a friend who is buying one and I would recommend their homes to others. I had a perfect location and the price of the premium lot did not go up that much which I am thankful for. However, I'm a little disappointed that I didn't have much options to buy my dream style/design home, so I just kept my first priority which is the location. I appreciate the incentives which a lot of builder/lender have similar offer.

They rushed to get the homes done so certain items weren't finished prior to closing and some items were broken or not installed correctly. It's been 2 months since I moved in and they are still fixing things in my home.

Overall its a good experiece!! Sales team was good but couldnt give us more options to choose. Field manager was responsive in most of the situations..but couldnt clarify or help in few things. Smart home set up is not user friendly or not clear from beginning. Guardian thinks they did good job but with all advanced technology out in market i dont think it is great.

3 months in the home and still do not have the refrigerator that we paid an upgrade for. And no phones to keep us up to date with information on it.

Customer Service is awesome but the subcontractors work is subpar. (1) The sod was laid in a very sloppy manner, there are several sizes of gaps between patches. Now I have to pay to properly re-sod their sloppiness. (2) The front door was not properly sealed, you can see daylight when closed, you can feel the draft and that is after it was supposed to be fixed. (3) I have a problem with two of the breakers, they turn off for no reason and after two months I am still waiting for a call back from the warranty department. Rough-in construction went great. Building manager is great but dealing with too many problems: Concrete driveway and garage floor problems, light fixtures come loose from ceiling, tile has to be fixed, smart home issues with front door and kitchen cabinets not installed correctly. It’s almost as their sub-contractors don’t care or get paid more for fixing the problems they create.

The house went up quickly and is absolutely beautiful. I feel like I'm living in a magazine. However, I cannot seem to get any of the repairs completed. I've been waiting for responses to my requests for weeks. People who are supposed to show up for appointments do not.

After moving in the new home we found issues that should have been addressed during construction. Paint and door trim work is not great quality. AC design for first floor has been faulty as a result of which two rooms on first floor stayed warm and had to log in issue to warranty department. Toilet seats are already chipping off color within 2 weeks as cheap quality was used. Door bell and main door lock had to be replaced. These are few but takes time and effort on in owner and builder to fix things again. Although my field manager during this project was excellent! I feel some stuff should be done by the builder to guarantee their homes and property. I feel their sales team lacked assistance during my built and I wasnt even given a tour of the facility which made me almost rethink my purchase... overall my home is awesome with some minor issues and I hope the warranty can commit to fixing asap besides that its a beautiful home!!!

The layout of the floor plan was great. The sub contractors were sub par, had many issues unresolved at final walkthrough that were promised to be completed prior to closing, which were not. The materials used were very basic, many were of poor quality. Basic washer/dryer and refrigerator purchased by contractor for walk in ready package, which would not have been my choice of appliances. Lots of corners were cut, and are not very trustworthy.

Overall it was a good experience and happy with my new home. I wish builder would use better quality materials and would pay attention more to details. My honest opinion is that if in the future I will purchase new construction again probably not going to do it with Centex again.

First time home buyer and I expected more. Some things in the house from workmanship and materials point of view only were my main complaints.

Purchasing the home through Pulte/Centex has been a rollercoaster. This is our second home and we’ve had a slew of problems (still unfixed since 2019). We purchased this home in January 2023 and while the quality and workmanship is not something I’m proud of, I have to give credit to the Construction managers Andrew and Steve and Warranty manager Brittany. For the first 20-30 days we had several electrical issues and lost power, which was fixed. Other items are still being worked on. If it wasn’t for the listed associates above, we would not have purchased.

We loved the houses and community since we visited it. The experience with sales, title, mortgage, and construction wasn’t the best. Bad communication and some staff were somewhat unprofessional, last minute and don’t explain everything to you. My construction manager changed 4 times and it was a terrible experience. Tried to get a hold with a mortgage rep to ask questions about closing costs, no one got back to me Title waited til last minute to provide wiring instructions and during closing had to wait hours to confirm they received it just because they were late providing that info to me House is still full of wall scratches, blue tape, and light not working even after closing ... Flaws that were pointed out during walkthrough - have not been fixed until the day of closing . The builder was running around trying to fix /patch up the damage when I arrived and needed the house clean and ready for movers to move in- the ladder in my living room, opened doors, paint , handyman there . Since it was rushed - many flaws still remained not done ; and now almost 2 months later - it’s not done because the builder finished working in this community and was moved onto another project

Jonathan building manager was excellent. He was very helpful and made every attempt to fix and correct issues in a timely manner. Our experience and time with him was great. However, there are other area where Centex can improve period. Thanks
