There are many pluses to our home. However, once we moved in we found that painting was poor, several doors did not close properly, there was no power to the kitchen island, the dishwasher did not work (a plug was never attached to the dishwasher), screens were missing, and there were rust marks on the concrete slabs from nails that were never swept up. I trust there will be other issues as the months pass. Our Field Manager from Pulte Homes is great! Unfortunately he does not have enough hours in a day to address issues tied to the 15+ homes that are either settling or are soon to settle. Once 30 days elapses the warranty requests are handled by a Pulte Homes Customer Care person and responsiveness is exceptional. So why the “Timing” subject? Our settlement date should have been pushed out one month. The Field Manager should be able to focus on confirming that everything is in working order and performing a detailed walkthrough prior to the buyer’s walkthrough. ... More

Centex homes are great starter homes but you must stay on top of construction to make sure every thing is correct.

Jon the field manager cares a lot about his communities and is responsive on any issues you raise to him.

The only thing I am disappointed with is the fact that before we closed I felt that I would be supported and taken care of with any issues. That made me feel more comfortable. But after the closing I didn't feel the same way. We only had a few issues but the people they sent were not experienced. Did a hack job and my husband will need to fix. Didn't address the front door. Rain poured in the bottom. So I am assuming it is not sealed properly. The lawn is a big issue due to the fact it when on dormant and not watered. It did not root. We had been watering everyday but I think it is dead. Make sure when you buy a house that you get the attention you need. ... More

There were a few positives like the beautiful community and professional, friendly staff. The builder was quick to respond to our concerns. However, make sure you hire your own home inspector. Thankfully I did and he found broken roof truss (truss- part of a roof structure), roof tiles loose and other things. I found the back splash tiles popping out, and the bathroom tiles were broken or missing grout. The shower head was broken. The windows, carpet, and shower were not cleaned by the day of closing. It was full of grout dust and the team who came back to clean it did a poor job. The grounds keepers were just as bad. I had a tree that came with the house. The tree fell down twice and finally died. They didn’t dig the hole deep enough. Although all these issues have been fixed or in the process of being fixed, it should have done right the first time. I had to take the time out of my day to wait and monitor the contractors. I must say, they are trying to improve and had a very helpful staff, which made the experience more manageable. ... More

There’s some issues that I have shared with a project manager and sent in a request through Centex customer service and it has not been responded to

The lack of craftsmanship was evident through the whole build process. We were told by the Build Manager several times that our house plan was a difficult build because the builders had not built this plan before. I thought skilled builders could read and interpret plans. When questions were raised they were met with a condescending attitude that was even evident to our real estate agent. Some of the issues that were presented during the walk through were not completed by the closing date with contractors scrambling trying to get things done. We were told that if we wanted them fixed our closing would be delayed but that we could sign, close that afternoon, and send in the information to warranty and it would be fixed in the next 30 days - not. We sent in the info. to warranty and were notified that it would be handled at the 11th month period. We absolutely love the house but we also know what was covered up, painted over, and not up to par with a quality build. ... More

Sometimes the builder would lack communication. The builder didn't fix certain issues before we moved in and we had to get them to fix it after. They fixed the issues but then didn't repaint or even provide us with paint to match the fixed spot with the rest of the wall. This to me was fixing the issues 1/2 way. The value of the home for what we paid is exceptional.

Beginning process was smooth and painless. However as our home progressed things became more difficult. Sales person was giving us information without knowing the whole situation. We were kept up to date with timelines of what was happening when, but then those timelines were never met, and at one point were not completed 2+ weeks after we were told they would be done. Excuses such as contractors and deliveries no-showing was given often. The end was VERY hectic due to a winter storm being added into the mix. That being said, while they used the storm as an excuse, the main point was that they were 2-3 weeks behind before that storm hit. We had to fight every day to close in a timely manner so that we weren’t between homes due to our lease ending and the home not being ready, and it actually got bad enough that our sales person was removed from our case and the area sales manager stepped in to complete our sale. Fencing was not completed in time so survey could not be completed on time either. They even had to take appliances out of a home that was not completed or ready for closing to put them into our home in order to get the certificate of occupancy. Final inspections were not completed until the morning of closing, putting us at risk of not being able to close if something did not pass. The builder also promised that brush/yard debris would be cleaned up after closing (this was another item delayed due to contractor/storm situation). We have been in the home for 6 weeks now and this STILL has not been completed. I have attempted to contact both the construction manager and Centex customer service and my emails requesting this be competed are being ignored. ... More

We love our home although it is frustrating out how most of the walls are not straight and most of the home does not seem very air tight as you can feel a draft at times. We are concerned about the flooring upstairs as it makes a lot of noise already and that seems to be a common concern through out the neighborhood. We have made a lot of upgrades on our own so we are happy with it.

Nothing really to share. Everything went ok up to this point.

This is a good development for first time buyers.

seems like an average budget home. fence will need to be replaced and painting done. in 3 years I will need to make some financial investment to upgrade the limited quality of materials used.

Too many details issues with finishing

I was surprised and very disappointed to find that ceiling fans and a garage door opener were not standard for my home. I’ve never heard of a new home build that does it include a garage door system. Such an easy thing to complete.

Windows, garage door, yard, just the overall experience that i went through to buy the house left a sour taste in my mouth and even the realtor would choose the same. I wouldnt do it again

I would say the house was not done with the best quality. There have been things that have been repaired since the move in. Sloppy work at times.

The first time we where checking the house right off the gate they promised things and we had to fight to get the things that were promised, There's horrible communication with the company and us. We were supposed to move into the home back in June and ended up moving in almost 2 months after. Overall the communication is horrible and the worst I've seen trying to buy a home. There's still a bunch of issues with the house that again we were promised to be fixed and yet nothing has been done. The grass outside has so many faults its hard to even count. First of all the grass isn't placed correctly. There's plenty of patches where the ground isn't covered and its not leveled. There's still left over construction marks on the street in front of us that was never cleaned up properly. There was plenty of weeks with zero communication between the homeowners association and us. Before and during closed I felt rushed and even threaten at one point. I was definitely in a rush to purchase a home and would recommend to anyone looking to purchase with centex to check check and check again. That goes for paperwork, construction, and craftsmanship in the home

The quality and workmanship were FAR below what we expected. All of our issues were addressed promptly though. We love our house and the neighborhood

We did a across country move and couldn’t go to all of the walk throughs because of COVID. They missed certain crucial things like a toilet paper holder that was missing from on of the bathrooms, exterior lights that still aren’t working! Besides other small things!

I decided to purchase my home with Centex based on their solid reputation. From the beginning, they assure you of the high quality materials and workmanship. Throughout the construction process, I encountered numerous issues with the build of the home. Prior to closing, I went through the entire home and requested for several things to be fixed. Now almost two months after having closed on the home, I am still finding a lot of errors in the construction of the home. I have found unfinished caulking, damage to walls, and errors with lighting fixtures/installation. Late in the construction process, it was confirmed that Centex doesn’t hire the best to build the best. They simply contract out the lowest bidder and their construction supervisors ensure that it’s built as good as possible. Prior to closing, I even had to hire a third party inspector who found even more problems and then we had to have City/County inspectors come back out to the home. Bottom line, I will not be buying another Centex/Pulte home I’m the future and have not been recommending this company further. ... More

The trades and people who physically worked on the house was very poor quality and needed to be redone multiple times throughout the whole build process. The land scape was very poor to the point where most of it need to be redone and paid for by the home owner (myself). That includes uneven bed lines around mulched areas, the dirt that was used to level and grade the yard was extremely poor quality (rocks all throughout yard) and uneven when grass was laid making mowing and yard work very difficult. This was the same impression throughout the neighborhood, also the sprinkler system was done terribly (whoever did it shouldn’t be doing sprinkler systems period). My build manager did the best job he could with what he had and this review should not negatively impact him. ... More

We were very happy with the people involved with our house except the painters and finishers. We went back and forth for over a month and didn't move in due to issues with the drywall and paint. It finally came to a point where we just let it go.. still sticky doors and dings in the walls.
