Overall buying experience was poor. The house was not complete at closing. I drove to the house after closing only to see painters inside doing repairs that should've already been completed. It took over a month after closing to get the correct appliances delivered. The driveway surface was damaged from ice during construction and still has not been addresed almost 2 months after closing. It is a nice house, but due to the overall buying and closing experience, I would not recommend Pulte.

Quality of workmanship is not there. Doesn’t seem like any quality control is in place (I.e. step by step inspections, etc). Lack of communication during closing process and being told less than 24 hours before closing that it wouldn’t be ready for another week or two. Left us having to scramble to make living arrangements since we had already sold our other home two days prior. My house has defects and it is not regular, it is on two floors and the upper floor sounds and they do nothing to fix it, they say it is normal, as it will be normal, it is a new house and it should be fine

My concrete wall need to be fixed but know one shows up, I’m telling them to fixed it and the ceiling paint is bad, my. Backyard is all being crack. I have referred my friends to centex but I’m really upset with the builder. I’m not going to refer my friends and family to this builder .

We have only lived in this house 1 month and the ac has already leaked into the ceiling causing drywall damage and mold. The AC was wired wrong and ran 24/7 for a month causing the ac unit to leak and our electricity bill to triple in cost. There was also things promised at closing that never got fixed and the vent in the roof was not sealed causing rain to leak into our attic. We have not had a great experience and would not buy a home from this company again.

The house wasn't done when we went to closing. centex assured us that they were going to everything done as we moved in, but it been 2 months now since we moved and the house is still uncompleted. We're thinking of bringing this issue to court.

During the build process, I did not think it would be as rough as it was. Going through four field managers was not necessary. Having to update them weekly on issues, keep repeating issues each week. The lack of responsiveness to issues was unbelievable. If client points out a problem, I would think it would be fixed at that stage and not months later. Communication has been faulty from the beginning. I moved in June 2020 and was told that a 30 day walkthrough and 11 month walkthrough would happen to fix issues, but the 30 day was and will not be done per the warranty dept. Low tier Whirlpool appliances specifically came as an incentive, but were not installed properly. For 1.5 months, despite numerous requests, no one came to attach the missing ventilation tube to the clothes dryer, indicating this was not an emergency. Homes are slapped together workers not double checking their work. Warranty take forever to get somebody out there. My front door was not installed correctly. Had to hire my own guy because 84 Iumber is worthless. I have 2 cracked windows. Still waiting for that.

If knew then what I know about Centex Homes I never would have bought one. Overpriced and not alot of value. I had problems including range fuse and also automatic door in the bathroom shutting on its own. Also the floor in the garage had paint spots that had to be cleaned up.

Poor communication, lack of care, cheap product

Very frustrating to work with the people running this operation. Communication is very poor and follow through is like pulling teeth. They wait until the last minute to make repairs and you have to continually remind them to get it done. The workers are sloppy and create more problems when fixing one thing. They are a cookie cutter operation and only care about moving on to the next house. If it’s not done by closing, good luck with warranty. Everything is done by email and there’s no care about customer service.

The people from the warranty not respond to the orders plus when with did the second walk around they didn't fix anything from the first walk plus the second walk they didn't fix again everything what with mark and we have to leave to do paper work for the house and at the time to come back to the house they didn't fixed that is my experience from you company late respond plus not fix what they promise to fix

The craftsman ship of their workers was bad. I never seen or heard of using caulk as a boarder once floors are laid, what happened to the quarter round strips, paint spots throughout home on the cheap, thin vinyl flooring and carpet. It just goes on.. what happened to quality of work and good craftsmanship.

The foundation and materials used to build the house were builder grade but I hope everything was done at least up to code for anything our inspector couldn’t see. As far as the quality of the work we can see, it is very poor. There is not a single room, door, trim, cabinet, or wall that doesnt have a mistake. I keep dividing areas as well that just weren’t painted like underneath the vent that you can’t see if you’re standing…how clever. These houses have major electrical issues. They're not wired correctly. There's massive drains issues. I was told I would have a warranty walkthrough at 30 days and still nothing. I had to replace 2 appliances in the first week because of the wiring. Breakers flip constantly. The response and the HOA are also extremely disappointing. If I had to do it over again I certainly wouldn't purchase here.

The quality of materials used and the workmanship get a one star. The cabinetry, flooring, carpets, fencing, and landscaping are of terrible quality. The electrical panel is a 15/20 so I cannot have the lights on and vacuum at the same time without popping the panel. The same thing happens when I have the lights on and want to use several appliances at once in the kitchen such as an air fryer and rice cooker, the panel pops multiple times. We had to delay closing multiple times due to incomplete or substandard workmanship. When the project manager was contacted with a list, it was documented, but little or nothing done within a reasonable timeframe. One incident was a crooked wall running at roughly a 25 degree angle, the response was "it doesn't look that bad". It was eventually "repaired", but now the drywall tape was worked loose and is protruding. Have been in the house for almost two full months and the power washing has still not been completed.

Quality of materials used is horrible. I have cracking of interior paint on my walls throughout the home. Mixing valve in my master shower was faulty, therefore there was no cold water to the shower. Only scalding hot water. First week into the home and already had a massive hole in my master bedroom wall to have the shower mixing valve replaced. Gaps in the exterior siding is not caulked. The landscaper laid my sod with 4”-5” rocks underneath. The quality of the home compared to the price you pay is unbelievable.
