Houses are built with hurry and because of this there are things left behind. Finishes left behind like doors not closing correctly or having gaps. Almost two months and I can hardly use my backyard because it does not drain correctly. They came to fix it and now is worse. The stairs handrail still waiting to be fixed. Low quality paint. Not happy with this purchase.

Tons of trash left in backyard, nails on steps/ bleeding feet toddler. Ceiling had to be repainted. More issues

Home warranty center is not good at getting things fixed. Of my list of MANY items that need repair, I don't think a single one has been completed...we've been there 2 months!!

The home itself is nice, no complaint there. However I’ve been in for 4 weeks, the cabinets are atrocious and not well built. The drawers hang or won’t close. Or they’re so close to another cabinet or drawer you can’t open them because they don’t have handles. The spare bathroom developed a leak in the shower diverter and it’s been 5 days and no one from warranty has been here to fix it after they assured me they would. The paint the builders uses is horrible. If you remotely tough the paint, it’s leaving a very distinct mark. The more you look the more you see where the drywall and mud striping was done in a hurry and it looks terrible on the ceilings. We have had a roller coaster of an experience, and I would not recommend Centex. We had a terrible project manager, Jackson, for almost the entirety of the build, who never contacted us, never gave us updates, didn't put in any service requests when we noticed broken windows in the home, they tiled the wrong floors, etc. It was a nightmare. When I had to contact our account manager to get him to even call me, he sounded like I was bothering him. Three weeks before close, they switched us to a new PM, Clay, who was fantastic. They told us the other guy left and knew he was on his way out and clearly wasn't doing much during the months he was our PM. Clay did everything to make sure we closed on time, and fixed all of this issues that were ignored in those 3 weeks. But we are still dealing with horrible issues from Jackson's lack of effort. Namely, our low voltage wiring was not supervised when put in, and the wires go all over our house. A doorbell issue turned into cutting walls all throughout our house and we're still waiting for it to be repaired. I now worry that any electrical is going to cause this again. The electrician who came to fix the issue almost laughed when he heard Jackson was the primary PM, because he has had to fix numerous issues like this but only with his houses. Also nails were sticking out into the walls near wires, which could cause a fire. The electrician removed them, but thats only in the 3 walls he cut into. Who knows if my house is on the verge of a fire from his lack of care about the build of people's homes, where safety should never be a concern, especially on a new house. I'm giving this a 3, because Clay we give a 5, Jackson a 0. I don't know if it was just the few of us who had Jackson who had a terrible experience. But it seems like Centex knew he wasn't doing a great job and should have removed him way sooner, because us homeowners are dealing with the consequences. ... More

I’ve lived in the home for a month now and the home has issues first with the outside paint is peeling, downstairs tub has a big crack that is rusted I’ve tried to let the contractor know about the issues and have not heard back from them. Just dissatisfied overall!!!!

The builder seems very knowledgeable, however, isn’t the best at following up nor communicating. I’ve expressed this on NUMEROUS encounters, however, no change. This type of frustration will prevent me from recommending this builder to anyone else.

After you are in you are on your own. Tried to get something repaired within the 30 days and was responded to after the 30 days

Pretty much everything in the house has an issue. The flooring, the AC, the front porch, the sprinkler, the garage door... I'm tired of asking them to come to fix these issues. For the price we paid, for the pain the mortgage company was; there should have been none!

I have purchased this property on 02/24. Since then I have reported 4 different issues. Ongoing issue with breaker circuit causing the AC to go off and home gets warm. Someone came and replaced the breaker but issue is still happening. Replaced microwave, dryer didn't work due to a cable /set up. There are some serious issues with my drainage in the master bathroom and it smells bad. Not happy with my "Dream Home Purchase". Too many issues too soon

Home had several issues and a final quality inspection not done properly. I’m currently dealing with several defaults that need to be fixed. Company being responsive but could have been avoided if more quality was set in place instead of speed to finalize a project.

Everything was great until the last week of the home being finished, a lot of unfinished areas and not inspected properly. Will never buy Pulte/Centex again, will be selling in the next 2 yrs or so.

Overall I was rushed to see the house. I went by a few times on my own to see the discrepancies that caught my eye to see how the issue was being addressed. I find a few holes around, the staircase only has gloss on the entrance and the railing going up doesn’t look touched. The wood actually looks faded. The front door and back doors do not close properly. So overall I would say yes it looks beautiful at first glance but I would advise anyone to spend a while really looking at the details. Open and close the door yourselves so you can really see if they work properly.

We thought it was going to be great experience buying our first home. Boy were we wrong. The roof structure had many boards that needed reinforcement as well as a hole in the roof barrier. Initial inspection passed until we had our own inspector come through and point out many issues. Builders urinated in our new bath tubs with no running water. A port-a-toilet was literally outside next to our house. Electrical fixtures were crooked throughout and had to be straightened. Front porch post is not at a right angle/squared to the house. One month in and nails/screws are backing out of the sheetrock in 3 different places. Attention to detail during build is lacking throughout. ... More

Other homes companies do every thing right like before the closing I found too much issues in the paint and in the kitchen too

Builder focuses on speed over quality. Many lines were not straight, screw not drilled in all the way, misalignments on cabinets, paint overspray.

Make sure you keep an eye on them

The sales process was easy, but the construction team not so good. Im still finding things wrong with the house. I've been in the house for 2 months and still don't have some of the original issues fixed. Construction team is unresponsive now.

I have the biggest case of buyers remorse. Plastic faucets on a 245k house? Lawn is full of weeds. Builder does not respond in a timely manner. Cheap fixtures make me so sad. I had a history maker home that was much better quality and the builder was top notch. I am beyond sad about my home but feel stuck with it.

I’ve had some good experiences and terrible with this company building my new home. I had my original sales guy not keep me informed on flooring changes but Trent took over and he did great. He explained things and really seamed to care. Devon the building manager was great at first but as soon as I signed my closing. He would say he would fix things that weren’t finished by closing and it would take him forever. I am still waiting on a shower rod for my guest room that was bent and dented since before my blue tape walk through still haven’t gotten it.

The home is well made, but when it comes to the surrounding they rushed and did not do a complete job. There are many places where they rushed to get the home done. Also the outstide water draining systems are not to par.

Centex/Pulte Warranty department employees need a better understanding of their work ethics. We were instructed if there are any issues needing to be corrected call the warranty department. First there’s no human contact by phone to address the issues. Everything is to be listed by photo and described then emailed to the Warranty Dept. I did that for a few items that need to be corrected. I was then sent an email which I found to be very condensing advising me to wait 45 days so they could be corrected. Well I have a huge security issue with our back glass sliding door. The builder contractor ABS sent out 2 individuals on different occasions to correct the issues and both stated the issue isn’t the glass door( which doesn’t lock) the issue is with the Glass Door Frame! It’s been nearly 2 months since we’ve moved in and still the glass sliding door issue remains to be corrected. Does a person need to wait 45 days for their house to be secure. I’ve had to obtain a security system to protect my family. And BTW the list has grown for the 45 day repair. Not too happy for the amount we paid for the house. Warranty Dept needs better communication than doing things by email. Phone calls are a huge social distant approach. Workers should take pride in their tasks. ... More

Everything was smooth till after I did your survey and now it’s like pulling teeth . Still have things that need to be done that we’re addressed before closing and were never done . “Fixed”
