We started the process to buy our home in July of 2020 and was told that we would be able to close by the end of march or early April of 2021. We finally closed June 26, 2021. I do understand the situation with Covid and the delays that it caused. But we witnessed other houses of our same model starting after ours being completed before ours. Our house would sit with no work being done for 2-3 weeks at a time. Also, when the work was done, it was very poor quality which had to be corrected at a later time. Bought a spec house was shown different options then what actually went In the house.

Overall I’m happy with the house. There has been a few issues but the builder has been easy to communicate with and almost everything has been fixed. My only complaint would be in the sales process the person in the office did not show me what was actually put in the house. I ended up with a lower grade different carpet and different fixtures in the bathrooms. I was shown a darker carpet and brushed nickel. Ended up with light carpet and chrome. And they did nothing about it.

Mortgage company made a big deal over 75 dollars credit card payment I didn’t know someone else was going to pay it for me I guess I should have known and assume things that were never mentioned I guess that’s the price we pay for being American citizens

Rush job

My yard was never graded correctly and it has caused my back yard CLOSEST to my patio to become a swamp. I was told that as long as the water wasn't standing after 24 hrs that it was fine. I can't even walk through my gate to my back yard a WEEK after it rains because it's still a mud hole. You can see with the naked eye that there are spots that would hold water because of the way it was graded. Like pools graded into my yard. I submitted a request for the repair almost a month ago and still have not had repairs done. They sent someone out, marked the areas, and never came back.

Better customer service and communication

Overall experience was not the best… communication was not great. I had a few issues come up and lack of communication. I was told if we have questions, someone would be an assistance. Had some landscaping issues, work order was placed and they showed up after 5 pm. Someone was suppose to be there to assist and communicate back with me because I was not home at the time of the appointment and no one was there to communicate to even let me know the work was done.

Once moved in some issues with the build were brought to the attention of the builder. They promised to resolve the issues and so far have not. They left behind concrete shoe track marks in the driveway (all across) and can’t be bothered to call me back or respond to any service request. I haven’t been called, texted, or contacted in any way since the issues have been brought to their attention. On the website there is an option to place a request, which I have, with no response. There is no phone number to call.

Salesperson lied or did not know services he said were included were in fact not. Floor plan was different from model with closets, only after saying something did they address and then we had light switches that went no where. Most importantly, look at the Management company they hire for the community. If you want simple things like gutters, fence or to screen a porch it could take months for approval. Pulte Homes sells you on the pricing and incentives for the new home build. However, once you are hooked into the process, their lack of communication, disorganization and not meeting timelines was more than a new buyer should handle. Plenty of Issues even BEFORE closing

I should have walked away even before closing on home. Mario (the builder contact) is a joke and not take your issues seriously, even lies. His mgr. Kenny allows this to happen obviously. The warranty shop has been responsive to my issues. Rebecca is now back in the picture from maternity leave and now attempting to clean up the mess I’ve had. I’ve submitted many work orders to be completed and I just closed on home 02/16. I’m hoping that everyone doesn’t have an experience like this. Not what I expected for a big purchase and new construction home!

The home buying experience for Pulte/Centex was not a pleasurable one that’s for sure. The entire financing process was a joke. I would never again buy a home from them, this has been a nightmare. I felt like we moved to a used house and not a new house, what you see on line is not at all what you get. Buyer beware. The loan process literally took until the week before I moved in which was 2 months after my application. I understand processes take a while, but better communication and site updating would be great. Waiting last minute like that ended up costing more to move then if I had a couple weeks to prepare. The process was stressful, loan process was a mess. Title work wasn’t even sent to title agent on day of closing. Trash, nails/bolts and weeds left under sod. Sod was dead writhing 48 hours. Thing that were suppose to be fixed, not fixed. Felt builder didn’t care once paperwork was signed.

My experience with my builder Tristen was great. I must say he gave me his word to address any issues and please with his urgency to get things done. I can’t say the same for the sales agent. It has been one inconsistency after another. Forget about have visual communication about an exchange and he would deny it all. I feel like I was pushed into thinking all the issues at each walk through would be completed and any issues would be fixed asap. We have found several issues within the 30 day warranty of initially purchasing the home that makes us question if the home can support or last us in the long run. I made my first home purchase in the USA at Centex/Pulte and my experience was unfortunately pretty bad. My house came with no refrigerator, washing machine, tumble dryer, curtains, cabinet handles. In addition, irrigation does not work right, a lamp has already fallen in 2 months, shower loosened, among other problems.

I started out with happiness and then it went to, "got the sale nothing more for homeowner". I have been in my new home for 2 months and unable to to get weatherstipping on 2 entry doors. One door had none from the start and still waiting, the other was in pieces and needed to be replaced, still waiting. Took a month to get someone to fix my garage entry door due to the fact it would not close to lock. I have submitted 3 service request and emails asking to fix these items. So, my experience has not been a smily face for a new homeowner.
