The beginning of the buying and building process was super slow. There wasn’t any info to be given as we intentionally chose a lot that wouldn’t be started on for about 3-4 months so that wasn’t a problem at all. During the build, we did have a lot of changes at first to the construction manager, but after our 3rd and final person, I was relieved! Juan was the best. Super quick with response and informative and genuinely cared. Kept us in the loop all the time. Great follow up. Our sales lady, Monica was great too. Helped me go through all my options and questions in the very beginning and gave her professional opinion, while also being practical as I’m a first time new mom and first time home buyer. She also followed up very quickly. My only complaint was the lack of info and follow up from the mortgage company. I used the Pulte group mortgage company. There was a lot of unnecessary stress put on me at the last minute, rather than guiding and informing me during the process. It ended up being resolved and I was satisfied in the end, but not with out lots of headache and fighting. Overall, my first time buying experience was good. I’d definitely do it over again with Juan and Monica, but maybe next house I’ll get a different lender! I recommend this neighborhood and builder frequently! Thanks Centex and Pulte ... More

Great group of people

I wanted to wait a few months to do the review so I could give a fair assessment of my Centex home. First and foremost, I appreciated the fact that there was always someone I could call if I had an issue. Overall, I think the home is worth what I paid for it, just make sure you get everything you ask for before you sign anything; after that, the chances of getting whatever it is you were offered is, more than likely, not going to happen. The first things that stood out to me about the house I purchases was the workmanship; it was shoddy at best. I could tell my home was built from a "quantity" standpoint versus a "quality' standpoint. My move in date got pushed back because I had issues with the way some of the "finished" items looked. Although the issues were all repaired, there were enough to keep my caution up for the first few months. Besides the breaker panel being mislabeled and not receiving new labels to label it correctly, there weren't any major or potential issues I saw until about my second month in the house. My heat wasn't circulating throughout my house so I enacted the warranty. Within a day, I received a phone call and made an appointment for someone to come and take a look at my ventilations system. I was pretty impressed with the speedy response. However, after a specialist inspected my ventilation system, I was told that, not only was a bad damper motor installed, but the foundation (I'm assuming some type of blocks or wood) that kept the system aligned hadn't been installed. Thankfully, it was all repaired, but at the same time, I wonder what else needs to be repaired that I don't know about. Overall my wife and I have had a great experience buying our new home. It was designed by a previous home buyer who received military orders before they could close, so we were very lucky to find it. The overall design and layout are perfect! The closing experience was very easy, and our field manager has been awesome! Only gave four stars on workmanship because we recently sprung a leak in our master bathroom shower... However, the warranty service is very quick to respond and we have a plumber scheduled to do the repairs within a few days.

Great value for the house we had built!

My rental home was in better condition than what I thought would be a new home. My wife says the habitat for humanity home she grew up in didn't have as many errors. I don't know whether to trust any repairs would be more than just patch work rather than actually correcting the building errors and lack of craftsmanship. I regret buying a Centex home I regret trusting Centex with building my home. I don't know whether to just walk away from this home it's saddening to know Centex builders have such a low moral standard when building homes. I've called the building manager several times with no answer. I would really like a representative of Centex corporate to see the obvious errors. Walls aren't straight I know cause I checked the most obvious one with a leveler the top of the wall is level where the obvious lower part is pulling forward the leveler verified this. Their in a gap between the granite counter top and the lower kitchen shelves it's obvious the same issue is present in the master bathroom but they used a nail gun to try and attach the restroom lower cabinet to the wall then they used seal to fill in the gap running the length of the master sink they even left a nail popping out the side of the lower restroom cabinet with no attempt to remove it it's just popping out. Shady and extremely poor craftsmanship all the way around my house. To many errors to list I'm extremely disappointed and looking into other options to abandon this house. Centex continues to improve the community even after you finalize your purchase. It shows that they really care about the homes and the long-term experience for the home owners.

Some work very good, some not to our expectations. Garage concrete work very poor quality. Sheetrock texture very disappointing and bull nose corners just so so.

My new home is beautiful and I'm so very excited to live in it. I've had a few issues pop up but the warranty customer service has been too notch so far. Highly recommended!

From start to finish you will be kept well informed. The sales team, construction team, mortgage team and title team are very knowledgeable and will help you through every step of the process.

When we were looking to move here these were the best floorplan options and pricing for what you get.

I purchased the Hewitt plan in one of the new subdivisions so had to wait for the building to start and once it started it was on. I was over almost everyday and was Impressed with the work site it was busy during work hours and clean like there was no work going on in the evenings. The workmanship and materials are great along with the price of the home, I never thought that I would purchase a Centex home but I did and I love my home. Working with Centex has been the best home buying experience I have had from beginning to the end.

Good value, but even more, great people to work with!

Still need to clear for the customer before sighing the contact.I find two different things.

It was a great experience to work with Centex representatives on the whole process. To call out one individual is Jeremy whole was the project manager who helped at every turn. He sent me pictures of the work on the home since I was moving from out of state. He walked me through the home when it was complete. Just a very nice person to know.

Great experience. Our construction manager was Austin. He was very courteous and willing to help with any questions or concerns. Austin made the building experience very Easy and painless.

We love our new home by Centex. Everyone from the salesman, site manager, loan staff, all the way to the title staff were so helpful and easy to work with. Any issues with the house were fixed immediately and with an emphasis on doing it right! Thank you for our new home.

fair price with a nice house and good construction. Little dissatisfaction in some missing material but everything is fine.

I came for my final walkthrough and there were a number of obvious things that should have been addressed if someone would have taken the time to just look. I feel the house should have been show ready at our final walkthrough and it was not.

A lot of cracks and imperfections, hire people that are proud of there work not just throws stuff together.

We love our home and know that there are growing pains with any new home/car/etc. However, when it's been almost a month since the 30 day inspection and things still haven't been taken care of, I'd say the after care is seriously lacking. The buying experience was awesome! The builder before hand was awesome. It was after that we've had a few issues. Everyone we'd dealt with has been wonderful! Just not as responsive to problems as I would like.

We are really happy that we purchased this particular home because of the great service that Adrienne and Wesley provided. They are always there whenever we need any help with anything. We have had a great experience and would recommend this company to everyone.

My overall experience in the beginning was great! But, as I moved into the home I began noticing a lot of things that were wrong. I was in communication with the Field Manager at first but I guess he became overwhelmed with my many concerns about things not being up to par as they were presented upon closing and stopped answering my calls and responding to text messages. I still have unresolved repairs/issues from inside and outside.

My overall experience with Centex Homes has been wounderful. I would receommend them to anyone who is looking to purchase a new home.
