The quality of the house is very poor. There are a lot of issues inside the house. My field manager made me to sign the closing document and promised me that he will fix all issues in a week but it’s been 2 months. No one is addressing my issues. Paint is already coming off from walls. Even a small strain on the wall is not going when I rub on it. I paid 3000$ extra for painting. I am very much disappointed with this. Stay away from Centex Homes, POOR Workmanship, POOR Quality Control, POOR Materials, they DO NOT CRAE about customers, we are just a number to them! Take your money somewhere else! There are plenty of builders that offers better value for your money.

Worst builder I've ever worked with

This house was built so poorly, I would need to take over 100 photos to show someone. I can't even begin to try and describe the issues from walls being crooked, lack of 90-degree angles, lack of caulk where it needs to be, massive gaps that were caulked instead of properly worked. The trades this company hires to do their work are absolutely garbage. Overall worst experience and in the community Facebook group, I am one of the hundreds of people who have had a worse or similar experience. Centex should be closed down.

Builders are not responsible

Builder Usman is terrible never spent time with me. He didn’t fix any of the issues. I met different builders every time i went to meet up. Make sure you get a inspector. I had a leaking ceiling on my first 3 days in my hole and without power for 2 days.

I have lived in my home less than 2 months and it is little falling apart. The longer I live here the more issues I have. The attention to detail is terrible. The quality is terrible. My cabinets must have been installed by someone with no experience. The texture and paint have to be fixed. The shower rod is so cheap it literally broke when I hung my shower curtain. I’m so frustrated with this home.

Poor workmanship. The day I closed, there was leak from broken pipe that was poorly done from the ceiling that flood the house. Electricals not done properly and too many issues with the home. Don't be in rush to close, wait at least a week after the house is completed.

Very poor workmanship that even the sub-contractors that were hired by Pulte and were told to come and fix all the issues we encountered said that "Pulte has gotten a very bad reputation for delivering very poor products, they cut corners, use very cheap materials, hire just about anyone to do as much as possible and move on to the next victim." These folks have a great salesperson without a fulfillment team to back them up. The field manager is unresponsive, inept, and is frankly over his head.

As a first time home buyers we are ecstatic to be building our home. At first the process started off smooth. Then we ran into issues with certain contractors which we tried to be understanding of. Every aspect of the home was cheaply done. Mold growing in ceilings, sod dead the minute I moved in, doors falling off the hinges, paint all over the ground and doorknobs. To get warranty service you have to call the manager’s manager just to talk to someone. Would not recommend centex or Pulte to anyone.

When we finally closed on the third try because we had to get out of our home under contract, it was a nightmare and has been since. There are too many issues, photos and videos to count. We are still living out of boxes over a month later. We should have come in and started hanging curtains and enjoying our brand new home. There is nothing happy or beautiful about this experience and I think someone should compensate us for it.

I’m not sure that I have enough space to truly voice my disappointment for this whole process; both sales and building. I wouldn’t recommend this team of builders, nor the mortgage company they offer, during the buying process. At the end of the day, I didn’t feel like a valued home owner. I was met with arrogance, ignorance, miscommunication, lack of respect. But I’m home, I guess.

Overall experience was and still is under satisfactory. From the loan side, construction side, and the products. We still having to fix the issues and we just moved in on August 29th. My home was not done properly that our thrust and frames were off and it needed to get redone. Plus cracks on the concrete, paints peeling off, cabinets peeling off. I can go on and on. They installed the incorrect HVAC system on my new home and refuse to resolve the issue. My energy bill has doubled and water drips inside the closet onto the flooring. I've had to file complaints with TDLR, and the Better Business Bureau. Stay away from this builder as they will not admit to any mistakes. This has made the whole experience with CENTEX a very bad one and I would never use this builder again and I highly recommend you stay away from this builder.

I purchased my first house as I wanted satisfaction and not to have to worry about anything . my closing date was in mid July. and only thing I found is problem in house . Our overall new home build experience has not been a good one with Centex/Pulte. I want to start off with the fact that key contacts for us changed during the build process. First our Sales Consultant changed halfway through the build and then our construction manager changed. Overall, we did not have a problem with Lisa on the sales side but when Ana was our Agent she put the primary cell phone number for us incorrectly, so throughout the entire process our build, the building managers, mortgage company, title company, and whoever else had our number wrong which delayed multiple things. The total project from start to finish was a complete nightmare. I still have things that need to be addressed/fixed The quality of the carpet and the faux floor is not made of quality material. The concrete is pealing in the garage and around the front door. The ceiling in kitchen and the great room has two large patches where product was over sprayed. The trim in the kitchen are not flushed. The kitchen exit door has dents and the window has a scratch in the glass. One of the worse made homes I have ever lived in.

House flooded and had water damage after a worker nailed a water line. Nobody told me. If I hadn't went to the house and saw it, I never would have known. I had to demand a mold test be done. Of course, they found mold and didn't tell me that either. I found out when I saw a moldy baseboard laying on the kitchen countertop under a vent. I wouldn't recommend centex to my worst enemy. I will never buy another Centex Home. A month without air conditioning is completely unacceptable. 90+ degree days. I have a baby. A MONTH.
