Overall buying and closing process fantastic. But low quality of workmanship.

The Construction manager Chad Harnar is very nice, helpful, fast, meticulous. He is great man with outstanding problem solving skills. really this guy deserves the best

The home buying process with Centex has been only slightly better than buying a pig in a poke. Our closing date was moved up by the builder, presumably to enhance their month end figures. This resulted in the house not being exactly ready. Much of the finishing was sloppily completed. This includes: doors hung without being level, crooked electrical outlets, painting overspray, inconsistent painting, closet framework not being caulked and painted, drier vent not being attached, noticeable gaps between the front door and its frame, to name a few. Some of this was fixed before closing, some was promised to be fixed between 2nd walk through and closing, some we are still waiting to be fixed over a month (see further down in the review). Centex’s title company was unprepared for our closing as they had many of our documents incorrect, and then had the audacity to blame us for their error. Using the centex system to get repairs completed has been difficult. First, they give you the link you need to use at closing, however this link doesn’t work, it takes you to an error page. Once you do your own research to find the correct page you then submit tickets that may or may not get addressed, which leads to having to resubmit the same requests repeatedly. Read your HOA docs very carefully! While they say outside maintenance is included in the HOA fee, they only mean that “some” outside maintenance is included. To name just one thing. At the end of the day we are happy with our new home, but the amount of effort on our and our realtor’s parts to get here has been exhausting. And it will take many more emails and service request tickets to have the home finished the way it should have been prior to closing. ... More

Great experience. Everything was smooth. Whenever there was any problems or questions they were answered in a short timely matter.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable sales consultant, construction manager, and loan consultants. The buying and mortgage processes went really smooth. They were available to answer any questions or concerns you had in a timely manner. Great builder!!

My 1st time home buying experience and the quality professional service rendered made it so easy for me. From the start, it was an unbelievably good offer (considering how much I was paying for rent etc.) I took them up on the proposal they had presented to me (after I inquired). I was carried along every step of the way and my questions were answered/explained.....it's a 100% awesome process. I expected the great service to end after closing but I was v wrong cos same awesome service have continued up to this point. I am truly happy, satisfied and positively surprised. Thanks!

The title says it all. I'll never use Pulte Mortgage again. Communication is awful. However, the community builder and the community sales agent were fine.

All the process was ok... value housel is ok.

The people are friendly and great to work with.

The builder went through all the small details with us. Reviewed material that no other builder would go over. These homes are built very well with all the small details looked over.

Everyone involved at Centex has made my process of buying a home much easier than I could ever hope for! Especially since I work constantly and have no time to speak of as my own. And somehow got the best deal on the whole block! Killin it! I appreciate all you do in craftsmanship and management and thank you for my beautiful home!

Mike Elsebough was our construction manager. He always kept us well informed and responsive to our questions. I would not hesitate to recommend him and your company.

it was great overall experience. All team members are responsive before and after home buy.

Flaws that were pointed out during walkthrough - have not been fixed until the day of closing . The builder was running around trying to fix /patch up the damage when I arrived and needed the house clean and ready for movers to move in- the ladder in my living room, opened doors, paint , handyman there . Since it was rushed - many flaws still remained not done ; and now almost 2 months later - it’s not done because the builder finished working in this community and was moved onto another project

Just keep an open mind, pray and it all work out for the best!!

Good to deal with and prompt communication

My experience with Centex was great the process was extremely painless from choosing the home keeping updated on the building process the closing and move in.

Aaron is a great manager and good leader but the minor fixes, cleanup, vinyl floor application from his team members needs improvement.. saw a lot of wood dust in a lot of corners, paint on carpet, etc. For this big investment there shouldn’t be anything spotted.. I am quite picky but everyone isn’t so overall it is okay experience with builder team.

It was well worth the Wait. So happy!!

We were lucky that we lived close enough to our build site, where we would take weekend trips to see the status of the build ourselves. Once we got foundation and walls, our builder Chris was always on point sending us weekly updates with what the future plans were and what was completed that week. Chris helped us with our blue tape process and pointed out what should get fixed and for the most part pointed out things that needed to get corrected, that we would never had seen. Chris continued staying in contact with us after we moved in, addressing a few issues that cropped up after we took possession. I cannot stress enough how important having a builder that you can truly trust and feel like they have your best interest in heart. All in all my experience was great but Howard was outstanding. He really made the hand over process great and explained everything very clearly. Even after hand over he maintains great communication and always available to help.

My realtor Brian O’Connor of Realty Austin is the best of the best! I don’t know if I would have found the right house and made it to the closing table without him! I love the location of my home I was intentional about living further out. The builder so far so good and I paid for a private inspection and minimal things had to be addressed. I wish there was a little more sound quality taken into consideration when building these homes for example the study I’m using as an office and at 4 when the kids get home from school in the neighborhood it’s hard to take a meeting because of their laughter and enjoyment which I’m not mad at just wish those little things were taken into consideration when building homes in general and more of a sound control in between bedrooms. I would recommend Centex to family and friends the mortgage company prob not. ... More

Not even 1 month into my new home and multiple drywall and trim issues are occurring as the home is settling I'm a builder by trade and final inspections need tightened up.

Had a great experience buying my Centex Home. Everyone from sales to construction Mgr were great. Title comp were just as great.
