People ar Centex are very nice. The contractors they hire are junk. Only lived in my house for a month and a half and had the A/C people out 3 different times. There is no quality control. A/C drain lines were run backwards. Also have bad the electrical out once to change breakers because they said they are bad out of the box. Don't believe it but time will tell. Again quality sucks. Now I have a water leak and now will have water damage. Poor, poor ,poor quality. They just want your money.

I will start this by saying that I am well aware these are spec homes, however the price of the homes in my area are $400k+. I had multiple issues with the home and still do. So much so that to have all the poor craftsmanship fixed would be impractical because it would require my family to leave while they sanded every poor drywall seam. The crews they use do not care about quality and it shows. These homes are rushed and the work done is sloppy. I moved from a 20+ year old home that was in better shape than my brand new home. From paint on the new floors around the base trim, to carpet, to trim work, and drywall imperfections, my home is overall far from a quality home. Did they address the bigger issues?, sure, but in order to address all the “fit and finish” details that make a quality home, it would require someone being in my house for weeks on end to resolve all the issues. I pretty much gave up as the frustration grew into all the issues that I keep discovering. I moved in and had someone in my home several days a week for almost a month. Completely ridiculous. I suspect this review won’t matter much because it’s obvious the number one goal for them is to build houses rapidly to make as much $$ as possible, and to not actually build the quality homes they promise. I had bought this home oct 2022 I done my walk through and placed tape on reasonable areas that needed touch up but by that time My wife and I just had our second child and was in a rush to get back to my in-laws and I was trusting that all of it were to be taken care of .. well after we moved inALMOST every single tape I placed was removed and had not been corrected. some tape was left. kinda disappointed just need someone to come by and correct it. paying for a home in this market was expecting some quality work, my kitchen faucet was installed and used it about 10 times the first week became loose, couldn’t figure out why the Heater was kicking on, they left it off. drywall repair, landscape repair still needs to be done I’ve contacted twice now for landscape because no gutters are installed and water puddles doesn’t channel properly to the drain sites in the back yard, just clay mud and fear of moisture getting under the house, and when it rained hard water was splashing and stained the stucco with mud. I’ve found pieces of electric wire, in the back yard and front, I’ve found cabinets in the kitchen that have chunks missing and someone just colored it in. cabinets have caulk cement on some kick boards. I’m not happy because they made you feel like it could’ve been done correctly and efficiently. ... More

If the contractors would do things right the first time and cared about their work then you would get fives all across So many things wrong in my house and it's always a promise coming next week next week never happens It should of been done right the first time I understand things are going to happen, leaving a big drywall hole behind my pedistql sink what a joke so many mess up

Working with centex was enjoyable and easy . Kerri kept us updated throught every step. Everything was going smoothly until closing. The house wasn't ready we were pushed to close. Then all the promises to fix the issues after close were made and have not been followed through on. I would recommend to anyone thinking about buying from centex or pulte homes make sure that your new home is 100% complete before you close. Do not accept any promise to complete. They are extremely busy and once you sign those papers you fall to the back burner. Not something anyone should have to deal with when buying a new home. ... More

The sales experience was great. The craftsmanship of the home and turn around time to fix things are horrible. I moved in to my new home in September and it is now November. With in this time period I have had electrical and plumbing issues. Cracked kitchen cabinets that still are not fixed and most recently my garage collapsed and almost smashed my wife’s car as she was casually leaving the house.

During the construction process everything was magnificent, Matt our Field Manager did an oustanding job. As soon as we moved into the house we began to notice a series of flaws and poor workmanship including the quality of the materials. The entire house is totally uneven, our lanai floods with water from only one side whenever it rains. The ceiling of my dining room and the wall of my living room have the drywall encapsulated with water as well. The entrance door does not work properly and the alarm lock does not work correctly, Guardian technicians could not program the code because they say it has to be changed for another. All these claims were made through the warranty portal and no one has yet contacted me to offer help or assistance for the necessary repairs. When I called the contact they initially gave me for complaints, he informed me that he had been promoted to another position but that I would have to fill out the request on the website and they would contact me but I still have no answers. ... Good luck getting problems resolved with Centex

We finally found our dream home. My family and I, are so happy with out purchase. We definitely recommend it. Just don't go with their mortgage ;)

Financial took to long, everything worked together good, getting financial took a long time.

Buying process was so interesting at the beginning but towards closing time everything turns up tough as if it's impossible to get what you are bargaining for from the lender. But at the end it was a success story. I give God all the glory

Overall we had a great experience. We felt the homes were priced perfectly. The communication I had with thenCentex team through the process was helpful and they were there every step of the way. We couldn't be happier!

Great buying experience...except for attorneys at closing when using LLC

We had minor adjustments and Harrison was very good at responding to them in a proffesional manner.

Good team and we love our new home

Was able to purchase this home for my wife and I we worked with other builder that gave us the run around so they could make more money. But centex helped with financing and helped us get into our first home

The home buying process is stressful at times not going to lie. And although we had some bumps in the road I am so glad we stayed the course. We had a pleasant experience with everyone involved, with the exception of our Loan Consultant, however everyone else really rallied together to try and make up for that shortcoming. Since closing, the customer care team has been wonderful! I have been referring all of my friends and family in search for homes to Centex/Pulte! Just do it! Whatever questions you have ask. Any apprehensions, share them with those working with you during this journey! Leave no stone un-turned and be honest with everyone about your needs, wants and what you can afford! We have a great experience in buying our new home. From our sales consultant Mark to the construction manager Miguel, we are always updated with the construction progress. Thank you Centex.

Over all, the service and quality of the Centex homes are top notch. They kept me informed about the progress of the building of the house and answered all questions about the house.

The experience was great the builder contacted me ever week and updated me with the status of the home and took care of any discrepancies there was before the house was given to me

This is actually our second home we have bought from CENTEX, we are pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of our homes. We are loyal and proud customers!
