We came around and did the blue tape portion of the walkthrough and I am not sure much has been corrected as there are cracks in the walls, the carpet is coming up, the master bath toilet has issues and so on. I am putting in a ticket today because I want everything fixed.

I love Centex homes. They build quality home with very reasonable prices. They have built my home within the time limits and total process was very smooth. I highly recommend Centex homes.

The sales portion of the experience can be improved. Communication was not the best from the sales agent. We would call and email several times before we got a response. The contractor was good. He was responsive and helpful.

As a first time home buyer I was very overwhelmed with the idea of building a new home and was sooo worried about timeline delays and understanding the build process! Everyone I talked to from sales associates, to the project manager, mortgage team, everyone was very informative, took there time to explain every detail. I felt at ease throughout the process.

We love our house

First off, Rochelle and the rest of the sales team are amazing. I mean they knocked it out of the park. Then there is the field team and warranty team. They literally sucked the joy out of my experience of building my first home. They constantly change the rules to suit their needs, not the customer’s. My house had two floods. The first was when they hooked up the kitchen sink. It was installed incorrectly. The water damage resulted in cabinets needing to be replaced. The second occurred when the house was not locked before a weekend. The refrigerator was stolen. They left the water line on the floor. Water was everywhere. It was so bad the water was flowing into the garage. I don’t even trust this was mitigated properly. Zach one of the field managers did nothing on the house. I was supposed to close in 24 hours and nothing on the punch list had been done. Rochelle and I noticed it. Due to water and the punch list not being done, closing was rescheduled. My next field manager was Steven. They were rushing to close so I asked about when some of the small stuff would be done. He told me to call him for the first 30 days, and he would take care of it. The first 30 days fell over the holidays. So I messaged him before the holidays. He got back to me after holidays and told me to fill out service requests through the Pulte website. I advised him this was not what he told me to do. He never responded. Enter the warranty manager Cynthia. She and I talked and she was working through text message and then she changed the rules. She told me to put everything in through the service requests portal on the Pulte website. Again changing the rules. Needless to say I was unhappy. I did as I was told. Then she started to give me pushback. She was claiming I was outside the 30 day window, and I would need to wait until the 11 month final walk through. I explained what Steven had told me. She then advised me she did not care what Steven told me and this is how I would be doing it from now one. I talked to Cynthia’s boss Tony. He was very kind. He listened to my concerns. He transferred my file to John. We will see how John does. The final work is scheduled for 1/18/2022. I have had to take yet another day off from work thanks to Pulte. So I will see how this plays out. I have no faith in this company. I will never recommend Pulte order any of its subsidiaries to my worst enemy. Warranty issues that arose just now week after closing not adressed in a timely manner and no one takes responsibility.

Tyler, Jessie and Barrington all did a great job. They are so helpful. Perfect job done beyond expectations. Highly appreciate and thank them for their wonderful job!

The house was ready on the date promised and we were able to tour the house virtually and purchase it from across the country. So far the house seems well built and we like the large walk in closet and pantry.

Condition of sod can be a problem.

Dawn was absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. Ben and his team have also been fabulous and they go the extra mile. They are the reason we ended up going through with this purchase. They are the heart and soul of this branch. Even though I had some water issues the water company was extremely responsive. I love my new house it is my dream house. I am thankful that they always make sure the requests are handled quickly, and if a contractor doesn't show Ben steps up and actually does it himself. He needs a raise seriously, he is superman! I give Ben & Dawn 5 stars! The lower review was due to two of the contractor's that you use, and Pulte Mortgage company that is disorganized and is not communicating with the property effectively. FYI: We do think they need to raise the 4 ft fence rule, ALL of the neighborhood thinks so too. The retention pond is too close not to have higher fences, plus dogs get out because of it. Contractors that I didn't care for: I wish that they would have used different electricians because we have had so many issues with that. I also think they should have used different painters, they did not do a very good job. I think whoever did the drywall should find another job... ... More

Poor workmanship. The day I closed, there was leak from broken pipe that was poorly done from the ceiling that flood the house. Electricals not done properly and too many issues with the home. Don't be in rush to close, wait at least a week after the house is completed.

Everything was gr8, just wish they'd told me that if I want outside Garage lights, I have to pat for the pre-wire like they told me about ceiling fans, I had to have someone come after moving in to get outside garage lights bcuz I did not know they were not standard, every home comes standard with garage lights except this community. Pete the Builder was gr8, he was very thorough with going over & explaining everything right before closing during the walk thru, he is gr8 at his job, so other than that, it was a gr8 experience

This is definitely an unusual time to buy and build a house, but centex kept me informed and responsive to all my questions and concerns.

Over all, the service and quality of the Centex homes are top notch. They kept me informed about the progress of the building of the house and answered all questions about the house.

Everyone has been super attentive and have shown us everything we need to do if something were to happen in the future. Thank you!

It’s a great community

Centex has not been a good experience. Everyone was warm and welcoming in the beginning, but they are not to be trusted. They force you to close before everything is correct and they tell you it’ll be no problem to get it fixed. Once you reach out, it’s hard for them to fix it. They cut corners and try to make you feel like you’re stupid or wrong for asking them to fix it. If I’m paying this much for a house, I would like it to be done correctly. Maybe they were rushing or maybe the contractors weren’t being supervised properly by the construction managers. I’m not the only one who’s had bad experiences. After talking to my neighbors, I quickly learned that I was not alone regarding my dissatisfaction. ... More
