Generally speaking, the building process was very quick. Communication from the builder was usually good. The main issues we encountered was that the builder would provide a date of when XYZ would be installed to the home but then it rarely happened according to their timeline. Of course exterior items are weather permitting which we understood, but often times it was interior items and the weather had been fine. The builder that was over our home often gave what we considered a "non answer" or the run around when we asked if specific items in our home could be tweaked (i.e. very slight change in location of light fixture that ultimately was never actually done). We visited multiple homes under construction that were our same model that we chose to build and were familiar with what to expect. We noticed some homes included electrical outlets in the master closet but during the build of our home there was not one. When asked about this, our building manager explained that the workers don't always work the exact same way and utilize skills carried with them from various other home builders. While we decided not to argue about the installation of something as simple as an electrical outlet, we did not find this reasoning to be satisfactory. Every home should be built the exact same way. Upon moving into our home, we noticed LOTS of trash scattered in our backyard that which included sharp blades and nails everywhere. We have dogs and before we were able to allow them to use the yard we had to spend a good amount of time to clean up all the debris which we were not at all happy about. A home buyer who just spent several hundred thousand dollars should never have to do that. We picked up 3 full grocery sacks worth of metal and debris, some of which was simply covered up by a layer of sod. This is dangerous! What if other homes with children experienced this and were injured? We felt this was entirely lazy and inconsiderate of the construction crew and the builder for not ensuring this was properly taken care of. Otherwise, we were happy with the sales of the home, the majority of the building process was smooth and enjoyable and of course we love our new home. Now... we just have to submit a claim for our non-working disposal (we have been here 1 month and we have hardly used it... YIKES). ... More

I came for my final walkthrough and there were a number of obvious things that should have been addressed if someone would have taken the time to just look. I feel the house should have been show ready at our final walkthrough and it was not.

Home is nice. Workers and pretty responsive

After closing Mr. Caban had been taking great care of some issues on my property. His professionalism is amazing.

Build experience was amazing, our sales consultant and build manager made things a breeze. We love our home and everything in it however the warranty process has been absolutely awful and far from the amazing experience we had with the build. It’s been almost 2 months since we’ve moved in and I have emailed warranty countless times about issues that need to be fixed and have yet to be fixed. Not a great way to treat customers after close in my opinion.

For the most part we are happy with our new home. Any issues with build quality are of normal nature and dealt with in a professional manner by the warranty staff.

Rep went above and beyond to make sure we had everything finished & complete to our satisfaction.

Bathroom lighting could be better.

The location is good and have easy access to hi ways. The size of the house is good for its price and has good quality.

Great experience, but I will say the response time and communication was slightly confusing. thankfully we closed and all went well in the end!

Everyone was very helpful and polite throughout the whole process, as with any construction job there were a few hiccups but they got it taken care of in a timely manner. The quality of the materials and finishing touches were lacking a little, but we did get an EXCELLENT price. Overall we are satisfied with the outcome.

My Centex home is good first time buy! Customer service handling any issues that arise after purchase has been wonderful.

Centex builds a solid house. There were problems, some major, due to a disconnect between sales and the build teams. However, wherever there was a problem the Centex team fixed it without batting an eye. These are good people who stand behind their products.

I loved my building experience with Centex. They did a great job keeping me in the loop and addressing my concerns. I have had less success with the warranty team. They don't really schedule jobs with you after you indicate an issue so I've gotten several calls unexpectedly with them waiting outside the door while I'm at work. It's been like pulling teeth to get them to give me an actual date or time.

Just make sure you have your finances and credit together before you start the process. You have to be really patient because it's a long and stressful process. But at then end, you will be very pleased. The seller and contractor were great! Thanks for everything!

Detailed checklists at all stages were very helpful

Important to add cable TV connection to rooms (especially to master room).

The sales team is amazing and spot on. The mortgage process was the easiest I've ever experienced. The actual move in was a bit bumpy, but the builder made everything right.

When I found my home, it wasn’t finished so I got choose my flooring and cabinet colors and associated trim finish. My agents were helpful throughout the whole process. I love my Centex home.

Love the use of space in my home , and the open layout. The high ceilings are also a great feature, and the size of the bedrooms are really good, as well as bathrooms. I would of liked for the indoor paint to be satin instead of flat, white is fine but the walls easily scratch and I wish I didn't have to worry about painting wall so soon. Wish they would consider a little more space between homes, and also to proportion the lots in a more uniform way, some homes are closer together and my neighbor has more space because the way the house was placed.

Build of the home went well. Drywall and paint finish had much to be desired!! Many defects throughout the home

As a first time homeowner, I wanted to get a newer house to avoid issues down the road. After closing, I have seen some issues with quality of workmanship and material in a short amount of time, which requires maintenance/warranty from the builder. Good thing is my builder's rep is very responsive and has been helping to address all issues I have. After these problems are taken care of, I am hopeful the property will last for a foreseeable future.
