It was an overall good experience. The time line to completion was achieved. Happy with the home.

Great builder, but just take your time in the selection process from picking your lot, to the elevation to the interior and exterior options as it can become VERY overwhelming. You will be happy with the end result if you do this.

Very responsive and customer care is excellent

Home buying process was smooth and timely. I would recommend centex homes to everyone looking to buy a new home.

Building manager was exceptional, very responsive and professional. Building quality- some aspects were rushed. Painters were terrible. Caulk seal of crown molding is sloppy and already starting to separate. Choice of dishwasher is poor due to quality of its functioning as well as overall look.

Very knowledgeable, caring and understanding in what you're looking for. Their product speaks for itself.

Customer service is okay, construction is not good.

Great location in the RTP Area (North Carolina). Closing was delayed by 2 months, Building process was rushed. Fortunately the Field Manager Duane has been very helpful in addressing the issues.

There are a couple of issues that still need to be address. But don't know who to contact, as we have mentioned it twice to the Centex Realtor at the new home sales office. The ground/front yard is not leveled and very uneven in many places. My elderly father who lives with me has fallen a couple of times because the ground has so many uneven areas. I have also tripped and twisted my ankle when walking throughout our front yard. Its difficult to continue to clean out the weeds because its difficult to walk safely throughout the yard. Who can help us fix this issue? Our neighbors said they had the same issue and their yard was fixed. Please help us. Thank you ... More

Great home. Having difficulties with flooring but the company definitely takes care of your problems.

I got a great price per square foot on a new home in Elley Crossing. Unfortunately, I'm finding out you get what you pay for. I experienced several quality control issues that, for the most part, they're willing to address. But it can be a bit of a hassle to see these issues through. I still have some pending. Also, all lighting fixtures and bathroom finishings used in my home were very basic. But that could be why I got such a good price. The paint quality could be better too, and my yards are still an unleveled mess, but overall, I still feel like I got a good deal. Maybe I should be asked again to review the home in a few years to see if it holds up. So far, not bad. But I put some extra work and money into my home. If you're looking for move-in ready, maybe customize one to your liking and steer clear of the quick move-in deals on the ones that are readily available. That may have been my mistake. But if you want a great deal on the financed amount, and are willing to do some upgrades yourself, the quick move-ins are a good deal. ... More

Centex was great while building our new home!

Good experience for being a first time home buyer...

I'm overall very pleased with my new home. The construction manager was fantastic to work with and the Centex/Pulte made it simple to buy with great staff, a great website, and a nice design center. The home went up super fast and was ready almost a month ahead of when we thought. That's where I wish it had been different. There were many things evident that showed it was a rush job. On our final walkthrough, there were quite a few things that still needed to be taken care of. We gave them the benefit of the doubt. On our closing date after signing and receiving our keys, things were still being worked on. The overall home looked wonderful with no major concerns, but there were tiny issues with painting, electrical, carpet, and cabinetry that were rough around the edges. We've had to submit a few warranty claims to get things fixed within the first couple of months. I also wish I could have chosen my landscaping a bit more. Again, overall, I'm very pleased, but they could have taken their time on a few things and they would have still met our timeline goal. ... More

Centex is a good builder. We had a very good experience. The field manager was very good with his responses.

Generally speaking, the building process was very quick. Communication from the builder was usually good. The main issues we encountered was that the builder would provide a date of when XYZ would be installed to the home but then it rarely happened according to their timeline. Of course exterior items are weather permitting which we understood, but often times it was interior items and the weather had been fine. The builder that was over our home often gave what we considered a "non answer" or the run around when we asked if specific items in our home could be tweaked (i.e. very slight change in location of light fixture that ultimately was never actually done). We visited multiple homes under construction that were our same model that we chose to build and were familiar with what to expect. We noticed some homes included electrical outlets in the master closet but during the build of our home there was not one. When asked about this, our building manager explained that the workers don't always work the exact same way and utilize skills carried with them from various other home builders. While we decided not to argue about the installation of something as simple as an electrical outlet, we did not find this reasoning to be satisfactory. Every home should be built the exact same way. Upon moving into our home, we noticed LOTS of trash scattered in our backyard that which included sharp blades and nails everywhere. We have dogs and before we were able to allow them to use the yard we had to spend a good amount of time to clean up all the debris which we were not at all happy about. A home buyer who just spent several hundred thousand dollars should never have to do that. We picked up 3 full grocery sacks worth of metal and debris, some of which was simply covered up by a layer of sod. This is dangerous! What if other homes with children experienced this and were injured? We felt this was entirely lazy and inconsiderate of the construction crew and the builder for not ensuring this was properly taken care of. Otherwise, we were happy with the sales of the home, the majority of the building process was smooth and enjoyable and of course we love our new home. Now... we just have to submit a claim for our non-working disposal (we have been here 1 month and we have hardly used it... YIKES). ... More

I came for my final walkthrough and there were a number of obvious things that should have been addressed if someone would have taken the time to just look. I feel the house should have been show ready at our final walkthrough and it was not.

Home is nice. Workers and pretty responsive

After closing Mr. Caban had been taking great care of some issues on my property. His professionalism is amazing.

Build experience was amazing, our sales consultant and build manager made things a breeze. We love our home and everything in it however the warranty process has been absolutely awful and far from the amazing experience we had with the build. It’s been almost 2 months since we’ve moved in and I have emailed warranty countless times about issues that need to be fixed and have yet to be fixed. Not a great way to treat customers after close in my opinion.

For the most part we are happy with our new home. Any issues with build quality are of normal nature and dealt with in a professional manner by the warranty staff.

Rep went above and beyond to make sure we had everything finished & complete to our satisfaction.

Bathroom lighting could be better.
