First new home. Meets expectations

The process was well planned and complete. Information up front was lacking about details following move-in like all the details of watering and care for the lawn. The floor plan is very poor. The width of the garage does not accommodate two cars. Almost no one in our neighborhood can park two cars in their garage. The entrance into the basement is too small and crowded. The entrance into the house from the garage through the laundry room is too tight.

The layout and materials used are better than other home builders I have worked with. Centex has been responsive throughout the process. Their sales staff could definitely be more knowledgeable. Had a major issue with a room not being constructed the way I was told it would be which soured me to layout in general. Construction manager was fantastic though and great to work with.

I am pleased with my new Centex home. I've only had minor disappointments in the quality of materials and workmanship, but considering the affordable price I think that is to be expected. The actual home-building process was fantastic with no issues or hang-ups.

As a homebuyer of Centex homes, I was satisfied with the work of the builder. I had a third party inspector and the builder’s findings matched my third party inspection results. Had a strong peace of mind throughout the entire build process.

They are great people.

Overall I believe this is a good home. I would buy another in the future. The quality of the house build is good. If there were a 4.5 rating option I would have chosen it as some items related to the entire property could have been better in my opinion. Within a week of moving in some weeds appeared in the both brick driveway and patio. Exterior flood lights were loose. Tile floor has some material on it that is taking extra care to remove. Overall however am I happy with my purchase - Yes.

The buying process was seamless.

I really enjoyed seeing the home built every step of the way. From picking a lot, home style, stones, color scheme, etc. From sales, builders all the way to closing staff, they all contributed to make this an easy process.

I have owned one before so I knew what to expect.

The first part of the process was smooth, visiting the place, getting information about the house, knowing the different options and prices. The loan processing was very difficult and we had to change the finance company. Many documents required until the last minute. Many of them did not meet their requirements. Hard time trying to convince them that we were trustworthy people. I suggest to ask all the questions as a buyer and look for the best option for yourself since you are the one putting the money and yoy know how far you can go. The buyer has rights also.

I love my Centex home, it is everything I had hoped for. So far no major issues.

Construction manager, design consultant, and salesperson were on top of everything during the process. We love our new home and it was completed well within the timeframe that was promised. Our only complaint would be that the house was not completely clean at closing. Lots of drywall dust left around and the floors looked streaky.

The grass was put down the water sprinkler was not turned on need to do better job with painting they dump out paint in your kitchen sink, but besides of that my house is beautiful

We love our home! Now that we’ve been living in it for a month, the rose colored glasses have faded and we’ve begun noticing the lack of attention to little details- many scratches/dents on cabinetry in kitchen that have been colored over with wood paint, caulk touch up needed where tile meets baseboard & some smaller repairs that they’ve already attended to. Overall, if these are the only issues we’ve found so far- we’re in good shape. Knowing their guarantee/warranty of 1 year when they’ll come back through and repair any issues let’s me rest easier at night.

My overall experience with centex was great. I am good with the building process. After being in my home for almost 2 months now, I'm still completely satisfied.

They were quite responsible with the time they set for the delivery of the house.

This process has been mostly good. We have been in the home a little.over 1 month. It has been difficult, at times, to get a response to some issues (even after moving in) because there is so much building happening at one time. Still, we love our home and am happy we built here!

The experience buying the house was smooth and people helped a lot to make the experience pleasant. The House looks good outside and inside except the material used for walls seem to be lacking in the sense that it's not strong enough. Realized that after moving in .When dining chair touches the wall or if someone lean towards the wall with the dining chair, the wall start having some traces of material coming off etc... There's no sound proof. I could hear people talking in the living while I upstairs in my room with door closed.

We were very excited to move into our house. Everything looked great. Now that we’ve been here for 2 months we are starting to notice some little problems. Drywall finished have a lot of imperfections. Doors are rubbing in different areas. Range and washer were not installed correctly. We know that fixtures and appliances are bought in bulk, maybe a slightly higher quality should be installed. At some point every faucet will need to be replaced.

So far it has been a great expirience, still knowing and getting familiar with the house and neighborhood

The honebuying experience was ok. I like the ones stop shop experience. So far everything is good. A few issues with some electrical issues ...a few other things but OK.
