I’d say 3/5 stars. Home quality wasn’t as expected

Too many issues after, make ready should be much more clean and neat. Lots of paint on flooring.

My wife and I had to micromanage much of our home build. There were numerous mistakes that had to be corrected, throughout the process and at the last minute as well. Our closing date was pushed twice. There were issues still getting corrected after closing. Not a quality build.

There are open areas in my roof line as I can see light from my attic asking my whole front entry walkway, when it is on. Very poor caulking job outside and especially above my tub. Along the floor as well they are not all clean lines and trim work has flaws. Very messy and ugly. Paint specs all over on my floor. Lumps under my carpeting, my garage door does not close all the way to the cement and the ground is not level with the garage door. Shotty concrete work under the brick by my garage. Random concrete in bricks that was slapped in after the fact and is a different color cement. Clumps of concrete on my sidewalk. Everything was rushed at the end to close before year end and that can be reflected in sub part quality. ... More

Although constant follow up was put to this, Centex delivers on its promises

My upstairs is warm in the winter with the heat running but my downstairs is cold. They sent a tech out from Houk A/C and he wasn’t very helpful at all. it’s very uncomfortable

We love the floor plan if our home.

I submitted a list of things that needed to be corrected. Yes, even new houses have things like cracks that aren't filled in and sawed out rectangles in the wall. I still have a temporary stove in my place because the people who put in my permanent stove didn't remove it at the same time. Copper pipes are still sticking out of the ground. I don't want to put landscaping rock in my yard for fear the rock will puncture a line. The house itself is really nice though. I especially like the low HERS rating which means the house is insulated to save on heating and cooling bills.

Centex Homes only offers a 11mth punch list for any issues that arise. If you choose to build with them make sure you look very close at everything. We are having drywall issues and now have to wait 11mths to have them addressed.

Craftsmanship is terrible. A brand new construction looks like a horribly renovated home. The brand new construction we closed on looks like it's been lived in by squatters. It does not look brand new. Sales rep and construction manager were very helpful. They just needed a lot of following up. Other than that, they provided good customer service.

The entire process was smooth for the most part. The builder did transition between building managers so we had a few communication break downs. The biggest area of opportunity for them is the landscape and sod installation. I am not happy with the sod being delivered brown and sitting for a few days, no top soil used, and the landscapers laying it down on rock without racking it out

They rush to finish the homes. had to push out my closing date. And the inside of the home still had things to get fixed even after my closing. Sloppy work on some areas of the house. Centex is an ok builder. Homes should be supervised better and more careful before giving a firm closing date.

The sales rep was very proactive and patience to guide us. The process was seamless just the finance Part of it was stressful as we had little or no guidance about document submission.

There were some issues getting things done.

I ended up liking the end result, but getting there was barely worth it. it took almost a year from signing the initial contract to close. The sales people are completely clueless and will just say things they think you want to hear. I went in for a scheduled appointment more than once and they didn't remember who I was or why I was there and even pulled up the wrong account. I had to ask about closing weekly. the contract said July and I didn't close until almost September. half the time my emails were completely ignored. I was not even given an idea to plan about when to end my current lease. it was awful. The construction team was awesome though. They were better at communicating. ... More

Poor quality of material, i finded many unprofessional mistakes, not really satisfied,let see about the 10 years warranty!

Still plenty of things that need to get done.

The biggest issues we had while buying the house was that there was 2 times our loan got suspended and no one ever contacted us which pushed our closing date out an additional month. I had to call and check up on our loan because it went silent for a couple weeks and then was told, “oh well, you’re loan went suspended. It happens another time after that. I will say that towards the end of the actual time we closed, I know the lenders were working very hard to make it happen.

The finishing isn't that great.

my house was not ready for the initial walk through, therefore i had to do a walk through on closing day. Found many details that weren't up to standard, a month in the house, it is finally coming along.

The financing team chosen by Centex is subpar.

Poor communication after closing. Difficult to get things fixed. If it needed to wait until 30 day inspection, that should have been communicated to us. Annoyed that grass was dead and did not root in, house was not properly cleaned or powerwashed outside prior to closing.

Home buying experience was okay, would have liked more communication and the process to be less rushed.

Home is still Incomplete a month after closing.

While I can't say I enjoyed my experience with Pulte Mortgage, Isabella was invaluable throughout the process and Eddie really worked hard to huild us the best poasible home he could. We r forever greatful to them.
