The house went up quickly and is absolutely beautiful. I feel like I'm living in a magazine. However, I cannot seem to get any of the repairs completed. I've been waiting for responses to my requests for weeks. People who are supposed to show up for appointments do not.

After I moved in I a had a few minor issues and it took weeks for someone to contact after I reached out numerous times.

Due to COVID, unsure about responsiveness. Emails are prompt, but nothing has happened yet in regards to following through with repairs. I think builders should conduct the work as though they or their loved ones were living in it. Careless mistakes were made. Minor issues but still a nuisance to wait for it to be made right.

The sales person and project manager care about your experiences. However, It has been a challenge after closing with a couple of the vendors to get things repaired or corrected so be aware and stay on top of them.

Overall im satisfied.

We love our home and know that there are growing pains with any new home/car/etc. However, when it's been almost a month since the 30 day inspection and things still haven't been taken care of, I'd say the after care is seriously lacking. The buying experience was awesome! The builder before hand was awesome. It was after that we've had a few issues. Everyone we'd dealt with has been wonderful! Just not as responsive to problems as I would like.

Could use some work on the response time when requesting a work order

Poor workmanship leads to do overs...do it right 1st time..workers need closer supervision.. Job site supervisor did all they could too control the situations... Do over is not restricted to 1 area. It’s in dry wall , paint, electric, brick work, landscape etc.. However, when noted corrective action is taken..

Just make sure everything you want gets done on time

Although my field manager during this project was excellent! I feel some stuff should be done by the builder to guarantee their homes and property. I feel their sales team lacked assistance during my built and I wasnt even given a tour of the facility which made me almost rethink my purchase... overall my home is awesome with some minor issues and I hope the warranty can commit to fixing asap besides that its a beautiful home!!!

We were very excited to move into our house. Everything looked great. Now that we’ve been here for 2 months we are starting to notice some little problems. Drywall finished have a lot of imperfections. Doors are rubbing in different areas. Range and washer were not installed correctly. We know that fixtures and appliances are bought in bulk, maybe a slightly higher quality should be installed. At some point every faucet will need to be replaced.

All staff have been very nice. I find the craftsmanship of the home to be lacking. It’s the fine details. My ceiling is crooked. The exhaust vents in the bathrooms were installed very loose. The chalking all around the house just looks like a child laid it. The flooring adhesive is all over the place. There’s more but I’m done for now.

My experience with Centex was better than most due to Kim & Travis. Kim, my sales person was exceptional. She was very professional & went out of her way to help me bring this to fruition. Travis, my point person for the building of the home went above and beyond to correct any issues with the home. He truly wanted us to be happy with our home. I would give them both 5 stars if that was an option. The reason "Trustworthiness" got only 1 star is because one of the sales supervisors for Sanctuary Cove tried to cancel my ratified contract prior to the expiration date of the contract which was quite shocking and upsetting. With regards to workmanship, It was disappointing to realize Centex does not finish the walls in the garage; and I don't mean painting. The homeowner has to first spackle & sand the seams to finish the walls if they want to paint the garage. Centex also disappointingly installs smaller interior doors than most builders and the quartz for the kitchen counter tops is very thin. They provide no towel bars, toilet paper holders and there are no knobs on the kitchen or bathroom cabinets. Most would not consider these things as "upgrades" but rather standard items. Centex also installs their sod right up to the house instead of leaving a "bed" area around the home between the sod/lawn and the foundation. Centex might consider either just increasing the price of the home a little and provide these things or at least offer them as an option to the homeowner at an additional cost. What will it be next; homeowners will have to provide their own light bulbs and door knobs? The pandemic is over, the supply chain issues are no longer so maybe it's time to go back to the days of offering home buyers some options without having to go the route of a custom home. ... More

The quality is not that great. For e.g. the door between garage and entrance to the room had a gap at the bottom and same as in the front entrance door.

Good experience with Blake, very professional for a smooth moving transition. Quality materials/Finishes need to be improve

The loan process and the information requested was way out of line. For example, the house was going to be completed, my wife was moving into the new home but I was going to stay with my son for 2 months until my job was resolved. The loan personal wanted me to get a letter from my son, stating I can stay with him for 2 months, rent free. REALLY.

Outside of the buying experience, which was amazing, and working with the builder, who was on site at the time everything else has been very poor quality. I have several issues or just the ongoing with no timelines and no consistent. Follow up. I’m hoping things improve, but I have already had to spend quite a bit of my own personal money which may not get reimbursed to get things working like my garage door like my washing machine like my security system on and on and on. And for the record, the siding and landscaping was done horribly to begin with, and it shows to this day, which means I will have to spend more money to get that corrected. We purchased a home that was already close to being finished so our experience is only on the back end. The staff as a whole are very good, friendly, and supportive. However the sub contractors they use to build their homes is poor; contractors they hire do not take pride in their work and it shows everywhere in the home. I understand it's a business so they try to find the cheapest contractor, but at some point there needs to be some venting for QA as the price we pay should reflect the quality of work which due to the people the hire to build the homes isn't there. Once again the staff is amazing, just the workers they hire is not good at all. Suggest buyers who plan to buy a home get one built from the ground up so they can monitor every single detail as the build is going up as buying a home halfway/at the finish line I wouldn't recommend. ... I was very pleased with overall home buying experience from sales to construction managers explaining everything in detail for the first time home buying experience. As we did the first walk through and now living in the house, there is a lot of spot where the finishing is not satisfactory overall but I will be filling work order soon to fix some of them. I would rate 3/5 for house itself and 4.5/5 for the buying experience.

Because of the market trend, although Centex reduced prices of the homes that were to be delivered in Dec 2022 but they also reduced the quality of the electronic items they gave us and looking at bathrooms, living room it tells me that they tried to do cost cutting in quite a few places. The Eletrical Range, Dishwasher thats given to us looks to be open box as they both have issues opening and closing doors/drawers and the logo is half cut.

Appointments for electricians made twice. Both times subcontractor failed to come to home to fix electrical issues. Third appointment is next week. No confidence electrician will show up. Centex warranty program is empty words thus far.

Overall, it was a good buying experience and up to this point the core structure/ home appears good but as we have settled in we have notice a lot of little things that your eyes aren't drawn to during walk throughs. Additionally, we continually voiced concern about the lawn and didn't get it fixed before hand, I think they honestly used a terrible and cheap lawn provider who didn't do a good job. Overall, felt the price was too high but that's probably a sign of the market and times. They were able to offer a last minute discount but in my opinion it was still overpriced from there but every house we looked at during that time was the same. ... More

We had a great experience. I wish the quality of workmanship was better. The field manager, Brandon, has been attentive and helpful through the whole process.

Still have pending items that weren't completed at closing. Have scheduled contractors but no one ever shows up. The one contractor that did show up didn't call ahead and so we werent ready for them that day. Have been changed to 3 different reps in 1 month. This is a bit insane, slightly unethical, and I wish someone would step up and take responsibility for the fact that our supervisor was fired the week we closed, we have unfinished work all over, and no one has been a leader to follow through with the commitment to complete these items in a few weeks.
