Overall a cheap quality home. Everything in the home is basic and nothing is of great quality. Centex employees over promise and under deliver. I would never go for Centex again

Allica was a great help, being we were moving from a nother state Repairs upon walk through were noted by both my son & us. They were to be fixed prior to closing. We did not walk through again. After closing we went to the house and repairs were not done. Spoke with GC about repairs and higher ups by text messages. It has been 2 month with dry little done

Finish the house first 100% before you CLOSE, They will not prioritize you.

We have had water leaking in our ceiling initially they sent someone out right away but now can’t reach them to fix the drywall damage. We have barely been in our new home for a month and have already had a few issues. Not very happy with them not getting back to us in a timely manner.

The workers are inconsiderate, sloppy, rude and very messy. The cleaning people are non existent they may wipe down but DO NOT clean. Workmanship could take their time and do a lot of things better and not half way and messy. It should not be ALL on the warranty to try and get everything fixed that should have been done the right way the first time!!!

Well the actual process went of the house being built went ok I guess. My construction managers assured me that all the issues I was seeing would be fixed before closing. This is where my issue started. I was forced to close or have a daily penalty of $200/day until I did. All the while my sheetrock joints and many other things were not fixed as I was promised. I’ve been in my home for over a month and here’s a list of most of my biggest things that need fixed still. They seem to only want to fix one thing at the time and it takes weeks to get that one done. Sheetrock seems all over the house, many places in the trim work,from door doesn’t close properly, painter steps in paint and walked all over my back porch and garage,electrical issues, rust on my cement patio from nails being left on it in the rain, shower heads not directly above/in-line with the water knob. The layout of the floor plan was great. The sub contractors were sub par, had many issues unresolved at final walkthrough that were promised to be completed prior to closing, which were not. The materials used were very basic, many were of poor quality. Basic washer/dryer and refrigerator purchased by contractor for walk in ready package, which would not have been my choice of appliances. Lots of corners were cut, and are not very trustworthy.

Yes. Home is built in the time frame I was given, but the problems are that home is built so fast that they neglected building the house. I can feel the cold air coming from the wall and the floor, cabinets are barely reset- meaning I can see large gape between floor and the cabinets in the kitchen and all the bathrooms. Painter missed a lots of areas plus we even put blue tape on our walkthrough and still missed painting the wall and closets, there was a hole on the bottom of the entry door and garage entry door- field manager fixed it temporarily. Crack on master’s bathtub, window doesn’t close by the living room upstairs- lots of cold air coming in. Field manager is great- he try to help us with most of the stuff and I understand he is a busy man. I am not even sure that the cold air coming from outside the house can be fixed- heater is through gas so, it is causing more me to pay more for gas. House was not ready when we moved in due to a building supervisor issue and have a horrible time getting responses to issues ( door not licking properly, closet doors not attached, fire alarms going off, no water pressure)

Builders team was great with updates.

Overall it was a good experience and happy with my new home. I wish builder would use better quality materials and would pay attention more to details. My honest opinion is that if in the future I will purchase new construction again probably not going to do it with Centex again.

The garage was unfinished and I was unhappy, now i like it

Its a nice house but definitely could have been done better. Lots of details that could have been done better. I have had to call several times already for repairs and work and I have just been here less than 2 months.

Leaks and pipe issues and its only been weeks. Cheap paint try to paint as soon as possible.

Nice Community to live in!

Everyone was very responsive BEFORE closing. But after closing it was like talking in the dark. The house has several small issues and I have noted with the building manager, but no response has been received. The quality of sod for front lawn is sub-par. The finish in many places is just done half-heartedly. I will not recommend Centex to anyone for new home building.

Our builder Race was responsive to our concerns and tried his best to accomodate.

Our salesperson and field manager were excellent. But the craftsmanship leaves a lot to be desired. Even after two walkthrus the contractors only accomplished approximately 60% of what was pointed out. The painters have no idea what a straight line looks like and the sheetrock crews use their fingers to smooth caulk.

Been in the house a month and have found multiple repair issues.

Construction was adequate paint jobs can be improved.

Buying a home with Centex was a rocky experience. We had some chaos with the closing date, but the construction supervisor was not ready for the final walk through. After closing there was still deficiencies with our home that had not been corrected. We tried to work with the construction supervisor to get the outstanding deficiencies addressed, but after two weeks we gave up since it was clearly apparent we couldnt trust him to do his job. Additionally, the sod that was used on our lawn was infested with army worm eggs which we didnt find out till two weeks after we moved in. We had to pay for emergency pest control to save our lawn as the infestation was so severe it looked like our lawn was moving for an entire day. Paid almost 300kfor my home for shotty workmanship, from wood trim to painting, no pride work was taken by your contractors, just rushing to get job done

Home took a year to build. Contractors made mistakes during the building process. Most of the issues are fixed. Still have a few more things to be done. Building a home is always Stressful. Where do I start, My homebuying experience was a nightmare. it started after 2 weeks I moved in the guest bathroom toilet got clogged. Submitted a claim and they came 3 days later to snake the sewer pipes and with great success it was cleared. 2 weeks later I had another clogged toilet on a Friday night and paid $740 dollars on after hour plumber company. Cleared the problem again but the plumber thinks something is in the pipe and he didn't have a camera to check but cleared the clogged. Then 1 week after that it got clogged again. Frustrated with the clogging issues insisted the plumber use a camera this time. Well, we found a 2-inch pipe fitting that was stuck at the Y connector to the sewer line that was clogging my pipes. Water went in my primary bedroom, primary bathroom and the walk-in closet. it took 2 days for the plumber two days for the plumber to come out. 4 days for a cleaning crew and they still haven't fix my carpet and the wood floors. My ring door bell has been on a warranty work order since 06/17/2025 and to this day is not fix. Warranty manager that I had the unfortunate to have, made it seems it was your fault for all the problems with your new house. for instance, the warranty manager would blame me for the clogged toilet with too much toilet paper and wipes. I can see it the first 2 times that the toilet got clogged, but when you have a 2-inch pipe fitting lodge inside the sewer pipe nullified the warranty manger accusations. ... More
